The Avalanche should just go out and get Drouin from Montreal. He would easily make up the offence lost by Landeskog and it would be neat to see Mackinnon and Drouin reunited in the NHL.

On the one hand I'd have loved to have Joonas back, but on the other hand I love having the cap. So at this point there's no excuse to not have Gabe signed. Unless Sakic was told not to sign him above a certain number, or he's asking for 9+ from the Avs. There's enough money now to pay for all of Grubi, Landy, and Saad. And even if they were all brought back the team needs to be filled out and it needs help since it would be icing the same roster as the one that couldn't beat Vegas. Dunno what is taking so long for anything at all to happen, but I thought Joe was smarter and better than this.
