Carol Schram: Canucks draft 6, buy out Jake Virtanen as qualifying offer season begins With barely a moment to breath after last week's expansion draft and entry draft, the Vancouver Canucks and other NHL teams are now facing Monday's deadline for qualifying offers and the end of the first buyout window before free agency opens on Wednesday.

I'm certainly intrigued by many of the selections made this year as scouts had limited games and footage to work with. I think this draft is more of a lottery in the mid to late rounds than ever and more good players may come from the later rounds than usual.

Looks like GMMB would take him after that questionable first rounder.

Everyone hating on the OEL deal but I think it will pan out. I think Edler will be back as well. And hoping Hamonic.

I hope they can move schmidt but not sure it's going to happen. Rathbone = played a small handful of games. He'll get games with injury.
