Distal needs the 40+ games he’ll get in SD, not the limited schedule he’d get backing up Gibson. If Stolarz continues to play well in camp, he’s the backup and Dostal can continue his development. And Dostal gets a call up at some point in the season when Gibson inevitably gets hurt. |
