Hot take, they resign Dahlin, and they are done with the offseason, and rolling with this roster. |

The Sabres, you would think, will be comfortably over the $60.5M cap floor after signing Dahlin, as they only need $2.6M to bring them to the cap floor.
The big question will be how much they will end up needing to take back in salary in an Eichel trade to make the cap floor. |

Hopefully some of it is on a good useful player and not all cap dumps. |

The Sabres are still in a good situation, but it's interesting that they now have to take cap back, or worse, retain some salary on Eichel in order to make the cap floor.
What a difference from last offseason to this one 🤢🤢🤢 |

It's too bad Girardi won't be back coaching the D on the Sabres. He seemed to have done a really good job once Krueger and Smith were bounced. |

Happy labor day.
Excellent wright up Baller.
Suprised to see Chicago give up on joker so early. Nylander with kane/ toews adds was very tempting apparently.
Any other reasons they moved joker?
*I like how you have hayden in as 4C. They need to protect the young guys , win or lose. |

The Hawks had a surplus of D and D prospects at the time. The Nylander name also has a lot of cachet - plus the draft pedigree - which I think helped the Sabres get the return they did. |

You dont retain anything on Eichel. Period. |

IF he's traded...
He could come back after surgery, be showcased, play a little bit here and then be traded. Or he could light things up, lead us to the playoffs, and live happily ever after here. |

Let's see if that ridiculous catch by Gardy inspires them. |
