He has the athleticism, tools and confidence to be something special. It’s a small sample but apparently he passed the eye test with Lou. The price is fair for both sides.

Love that he is signed for 3 years. I think the contract would have been less if the dopey Rangers didn't give She's Stinkin 5.6 mill a year... but I am still happy with the contract.

Shestyrkin may turn out to be a great goalie idk but I will say he doesn’t seem to have the poise or calmness that Sorokin has in high pressure situations so far from what I’ve seen. Like most on here I watch quite a bit of Ranger games so I have watched him a decent amount of times. With that said I don’t think too many goaltenders have the kind of calmness Sorokin does in net that I have seen in my lifetime. The kid is as cool as a cucumber.

I agree. I think Barry has done a good job easing him into the NHL. I think by the Olympic break he'll be ready to run with the #1 job for good.

Paul LaDue. He was apparently a 6th round draft pick of the Kings in 2012.
