Interested to see Thompson, Foote, mercer and holtz and Clarke up front
And bahl and Walsh on D
I know prospects camp means nothing but it's a weekend of hockey
Also talvitie, wasn't he talked about a season or two ago before he got injured |

Seems like when Holtz has the puck he shoots it - dmarsden2988
hey that's the exact guy we need |

Pretty garbage game overall as expected with 1 or 2 skates together, but Mercer and Holtz really stood out above the rest.
-Mercer was the best player in the game in transition and actually getting the puck into the zone, and as expected he was a complete hound on the forecheck and his puck pressure was as advertised. Created a good amount as well, him and Holtz had solid chemistry.
-Holtz was very good once the puck was in the zone, both at generating chances with his own shot as well as his playmaking. VERY trigger happy which you love to see. From what i counted, he generated 8-10 shot attempts himself as well as having 4-5 high danger passes completed. He's going to score a ton of goals if he continues creating like that, especially once eventually he gets onto a line with Jack
-Nico Daws was solid.
-Zetterlund and Okhotiuk had a decent game.
-Foote, Clarke, and Schnarr were fine-to-decent , although i would like to see Foote shoot more. He hesitated multiple times when he had a clear shot towards the net instead of just firing way
-Everybody else was pretty meh-to-bad, including the entire defense outside of Okhotiuk.
Overall, its only one game in a completely meaningless tournament though so its whatever. It's just nice having Devils hockey to watch, but im way more excited for camp and preseason to start |

Okhotiuk will be a fan favorite. Hits like a truck and plays with an edge. GRIT/60 all star. |

This doesn't surprise me, especially considering the limited time they've had together. Mercer may be the solid 3rd line center Zacha could never be, but I'll still be surprised if he makes the team out of camp. I still think they all stay in the A. |

He is an absolute steal at 18th overall. No offense to Holtz, but Mercer is showing the most upside among our 2020 draft picks in this small sample size. He has certainly outgrown the QMJHL. A perfect addition to our hurting RW options. Hoping to see a fairly dominant squad in Bing this year. Clark, Holtz, Mercer, and Thompson all down the RW's should do some damage.
