Patrick will be a very good player. He was misused in Philly, especially by AV.
You guys seems to have a real cancer, however, in Robin Lehner, and choosing him over Fleury will prove to be a huge mistake. |

Yeah he seems to be going off today. That’s definitely a bad look for the Flyers if what Lehner is saying is true. I’ve had a friend get stuck on opioids and it takes a lot of time to get out of that hole. It would shed some light on Patrick’s nine point season last year. |

How do you explain his previous 2 years where he played the same? |

How did AV misuse him? I was actually quite frustrated with the ice time he was getting when guys like Allison and Farabee were looking a little more productive yet he was still raking up PP time and sheltered minutes to try to help boost his career. Nothing against the kid, disappointed how it went in Philly but I truly think Philly did all they could - AV included - to get his career back on track. |

This. It’s ridiculous to think that Patrick was “mistreated” in any way in Philly. Rather he was coddled, especially last season.
There were quiet, but persistent, rumors that he was difficult with a sense of entitlement in Junior (note: he’s a 4th generation Patrick which is hockey royalty in Canada), and I have to wonder if there wasn’t some truth there. |

Missed the entire year before and put up 30 points the year before that.
If you’re up for a longer read, I covered his career to date during the offseason.

not much to it, had back to back 30 plus point seasons. The migraines hit and the Flyers were cautious with him. Add in the Pandemic and it was a really tough time to have a long term injury. Patrick came back last season after a 2 season layoff, was given full opportunity to make the best of it. The Flyers sucked and Patrick was not good on a bad team, in fact he was really bad. Most in Philly believed this season he would be better, full season, better understanding of Covid and a year away from the injuries. Patrick probably needed a fresh start, it got the Flyers the D they wanted, hopefully it is a win win... |

Brossoit is going to be a good goalie for you guys. He was a solid back-up in Winnipeg. I think the Jets are going to lose points because after Hellebyuck, our goaltending is not very good. |
