Wirh Vrana being out I see zero reason the Raymond doesn’t start with the big club the way he is playing. He’s essentially replaced Vrana and seems to fit in just fine. |

I cannot believe how smooth he looks out there. Even had a little PK time. Blashill has kind “brought down the hammer” saying the Raymond has to be “head and shoulders” above everyone who he’s competing with. Hoping that tune changes a little, but we’ll see |

I think he clearly has been. Also I think Yzerman may have some say in this as well. Blashill has to say all the right things though, can’t just hand him a spot. |

It’s such a hard call. He’s young, we’re not challenging for the Cup or the SCPO, so the necessity of having Raymond on the big club isn’t there. That being said, he’s really showing that he almost deserves a shot based upon his play. Look, I say give him a look to start the season. If he blows it up, he stays; if he stinks the joint up, have him incubate in GR for a while. He’s sooooo gifted. Such a wonderful talent. I’d LOVE to see 23 in Opening Night…. |

Then again there are writers that predict he will be in the Calder conversation.....

Sending Raymond to GR by default even if he continues to dominate against his peers he's competing with would be the same knee-jerk decision Ken Holland would do and is bad asset management. Let the kid play and prove himself... if he stumbles then down to GR he can go. We don't need another repeat of Tatar and Nyquist playing in GR for waaaaay too long. |

I thought the 9 game stint didn’t exist for him. He’s burning a year either way. |

Nah he’s slide eligible but they should start his contract now so they don’t have to sign Raymond and Wright to extensions the same summer. |
