This isn't in regards to this post at all. Just a props/appreciation towards the comments in the last post. Absolutely loved the back and forth for the the most part. Feds, Henry, and Buzz all had very valid comments. Well done fellas, really enjoy reading your pov's. With all that said, let's take the biggest positive away, we aren't hot garbage like Arizona, and Buffalo. The future is promising no matter how you look at it.

All of you in the comments make this blog. It’s incredibly humbling to watch you carry the discussion and facilitate so much back and forth

Hopefully Blashill will start Griess against Florida as he a has played exceptional well against them last year and then go with Alex against Toronto the next night. Also take out Dekeyser for osterle. Team looks much improved and is fun to watch most of the time so far this year.

LA is looking for a RD as Walker is out for the season and, of course, Doughty is out for maybe a month. Anything the Wings could cash in on here? Osterle, Stecher and Hronek are available for a price I would say.... with Stectcher and Hronek being the most desirable from LA's stand point.
I believe Stecher could net Stevie a 2nd and a 3rd
Whereas Hronek could get a bunch! Wings would have to take back salary as LA is up against the cap, so the salary could be Kempe who be a RFA at season's end and a $2M contract (which with Walker's LTIR would be just right to fit in Hronek) and I would hope for a prospect as well, and of coarse I would hope for Alex Turcotte!!!!
So, Hronek for Kempe and Turcotte
Let's have fun with this one on such a downer news day!

Trade proposal: Blashill, Dekeyser, Suter and Smith to Fla for Barkov and Coach Q's contract. They need a coach now, we might as well not have one and could use a 1st line C for Larks to play 2nd C and really thrive.

Probably won't stay like that but Buffalo has the same number of points as the Wings with 1 game less played and are up 1-0 on the Ducks as i write this. So far they are doing much better without Eichel, Reinhart and Risto...kind of makes you wonder if some of those players that they traded away (or will in Eichels case) were a problem for the team.

Q resigned, so I don't think there is a contract anymore, probably some sort of severance pay. FLA got a gift, there was talk of asking Q to resign this past summer, as they had money issues and thought of signing a less expensive coach. Maybe in that respect they keep Burnette as coach as he will be less than 1/2 of Q's pay. And even though they have a very good team, there are a lot of empty seats in Sunrise!

I'm down for that...heck take out DeKeyser for anyone really. He nearly cost the Wings plenty of goals against the Caps. I feel bad for Seider (or anyone that is partnered with DeKeyser) now having to play with him.

I don't look at advanced stats but i'm pretty sure whoever gets paired with DeKeyser, their numbers go down compared to being paired with anyone else.

Unless one of them requests a trade i don't see Yzerman trading one of them until close to the trade deadline. I would love to see him move DeKeyser right now even if it was for a bag of opened peanuts that were dropped on the ground.

As an emissary of the LAK, we hereby decline said offer. This is so bad, HH. I love you and your spirit but this is so bad.

I accept your admiration.......
Anyway, I think Stecther would fit the bill better. His $1.7M is well under Walker's LTIR, and Stecher is an FA at season's end, so he is out of the way for Walker's return next season. And LA's need would fetch Stevie a 2nd and a 3rd.

LAK is going to tank for Wright. LAK is not trying to make the playoffs with its slap d8ck roster. It was a fringe team with Drew and Walker, anyways.

Rumor has it Wolanin is going back on waivers soon. He’s a lock to be claimed by LA if so. This suit you better?

They called up Strand and Clague. This is probably Clague's last chance. Durzi will be the next call-up, I suspect. Not sure if they'd grab Wolanin again.

As to coach Q and the Chevy verdict:

As Sean McIndoe put it,

The world's most ridiculous league."

There was never any talk of Fla asking Q to resign over the summer. That never happened nor was it ever reported. Not sure where you got that from.

It was reported in the early summer, but, yeah no one asked Q to do that. Apparently it was looked at by somebody in management, at least that is how it was reported.

The game is suppose to be on Bally Sports Detroit tonight... but my Xfinity is not showing the game in the channel guide like it normally does, so I can't DVR it... Anybody else notice this too ?

dcz28 - didn't you have some website where you could stream any hockey game for free.. or something like that ? I don't have Hulu or ESPN+
