Thank you Kevin. The Carlsons played in Marquette MI, which is near where I currently live, for the Iron Rangers. I will post this story on a Marquette group I belong to on Face Book.

He's been a great asset to the community here in Johnstown and has done numerous good works not just locally but all over the country. Hopefully he heals well and can continue to put the foil on.

You would think that with the number of players that watched this movie in a bus on a long road trip or on a sleep over at a tournament that many a current and former player would step up and make this happen. Time for some of the fat wallet NHLers to step up and support a hockey ICON.

I’m curious what all the players are texting him about the PA meeting tomorrow.

This might sound harsh...but I personally don't care that much. Like any other human I hope he has a healthy life but just not sure why this would be top news. On any given day there are numerous people in the hockey world in similar situations. Dale Hawerchuk passed away last year and there was no article about it. So maybe that's why nobody replied to you and nobody is really discussing this.

Ok. This guy played some hockey, made money from a movie, and then had the last 40 years to work or plan for his future. Again, not being cruel, but millions of others are in the same camp, or worse.

As you ask the people who support this site to give money to an actor, what have you done Mr. Allen?

what has Eklund, er Dwayne done?

How dare you ask people who may pay money to a site, and the ones who suffer through the constant barrage of ads to give money when neither of you will tell us what you have given.

Pretty sure that you both could give the amount requested easily, but since you are cheap asses it will only cost you half as much.

Maybe you could pay him to edit and proofread our posts for the money, then it would not be charity a and he would be doing us a service

GTFOH with asking strangers to give money to someone you can fund on your own

douche

Kevin, you better rewatch that movie.

Joe McGrath does not OOOOWWWNNZZZZ the Chiefs. He’s just a cross-dressing GM, who organises fashion shows and radiothons, does not think putting a bounty on the opposing captain is appropriate and in the end pisses on Eddie Shore.

I understand your view, I share a similar one, however I just choose not to donate to go fund me causes instead of shooting them down.

It's funny when you sit back and think about how popular Go Fund me's are for people in health crisis are, yet nobody wants "socialized medicine" in the US.

In Canada (as you know) you'd receive reasonable treatment and most of the costs would be covered. In the US these costs will destroy you and likely leave a ton of debt for your family after you are gone.

I have chosen to think ahead, I pay my taxes to help with our socialized health care system, buy extra health insurance for me and my family and save for other what if scenarios in my life. You will never find me or my family asking for help through a go fund me.

Obviously not everyone is willing to put this kind of value into saving for "what if" scenarios, so, this is their way. Hopefully people like them, or their story enough to help them in their time of need.

I can't rely on that. I'm not famous and I'm an a$$hole. I have to look out for myself an my family.
