Need great goaltending and need to put lots of shots on goal. Bert playing gives Wings a chance.

Wings really gotta stay out of the penalty box tonight. Their Penalty kill stinks and the Oilers PP could end this game pretty quick if the Wings are not disciplined. Wings really need a good consistent strong forecheck.. maybe get a few turnovers to give them some extra quality scoring chances. I'm assuming Greiss will be in net. Getting an early lead for once would be a plus. Special teams for Detroit will be huge tonight... |

Absolutely. Oilers have a 50% PP and that’s a nightmare |

Good news for you guys is that our 3rd stringer is starting
I look forward to watching these two teams with some offensive talent at different stages of their development face off! There's usually at least 1 rookie Dman a year who steps up and plays McDavid to a standstill and I see no better candidate to do that than Seider.
Best of luck to the Wings; hopefully it's a fast and skilled game |

Impressive first period.... Wings had great energy and played very good defense.
Namestnikov... one heck of a beautiful goal. He looked like Fedorov on that goal. That kid's having a great year so far... that was his 6th goal this season. 2nd line getting a lot of good chances.
Here are the lines for tonight as best as I can tell:
Bertuzzi-Larkin-Raymond
Fabbri-Suter-Zadina
Namestnikov-Stephens-Gagner
Smith-Rasmussen-Erne |
