Why is that? You have to remember, no matter how loyal you think a player is, they are are all far less than they ever let on. Its all a part of the game. Also, Calgary is a nice city and probably a better team right now.

I'd be surprised if Toews finishes this year. I'd say he's a few months away from being the latest victim of the left wing mob. There's already plenty of chatter about this on social media. They are coming for him and he'll be forced into retirement.

I know you just report what you hear. So if sources say the Flames have serious interest in Jon Toews then I believe it. But maybe you could ask sources how some of these moves make sense cap wise? Like the Flames have zero space, so how do they add a $10.5M contract? Even if Monahan goes the other way, that's only $6.375M. So who else goes? Also, does anyone else call him Jon.
