The Farabee update should be positive.
Day to day, game time decision for Sunday is my guess. |

I think the whole thing is a bit frustrating...I became a Flyers fan in the mid to late 80's (was too young for the 70's teams) and then joined the Navy in 90 and was out of the area and did not get much hockey info (and i nthe early 90s I am glad I missed it!!!)...excited again following the Lindros draft drama and was hooked when I saw him on the ice...buddy had season tickets and went to some games in the Spectrum and new WFC...went to games 1-2 of the 97 SCF , landed in Guam and watched game 6 of 2010 and was heart broken again knowing PK should have been a Flyer...I just don't see a path forward for this team, and I have never felt that way before... |

He did a very good job. If he didn't why would another NHL team hire him.....

Having lost a Father and a close Uncle this year, it always hits me hard when I hear about someone passing. Knowing that a family lost a husband, father, grandfather, etc. and what they're going through. RIP in peace Mr. Weinberg and prayers and support go out to his family. |

Hextall made 22 trades in his time as the Flyers GM.

Everyone is frustrated, thats why there is so much bickering....and because its hockeybuzz.
At least if we had a top prospect or something we could get excited about, but this middling drafting isnt making us better. Could be a tough couple years.

Yes everyone is frustrated but still I dont get it
Aube-Kubel plays for Avalanche
Robert Hagg does 18 minutes a game
Michael Raffl does 15 minutes 5on5 with Benn and Seguin
And about all 3 you heard last year that they are easy replaceable with better prospects
Where are all this prospect NOW |

Unless Frost pans out, this team will not have drafted a top 6 center since taking Couturier in 2011. Worse, after 54 years of existence, they have never been able to draft a legit, all situations #1 Dman.
Why should anyone have the slightest bit of confidence that this organization can build a Cup contending team? Dave Scott isn’t a hockey guy and his GM never built a team that went anywhere in Minnesota. And let’s not forget the genius head coach whose joke of a system seems utterly dependent on world class goaltending and unsustainable shooting percentages.
The entire Flyers organization needs an enema or, better yet, a visit from Dr Kevorkian.

You think we'd be better with Hagg in our lineup?
I dont think how the flyers are playing right now has anything to do with the talent level that is on this team.
Its total coaching issues, and lack of effort from the players.
In my opinion. Until someone proves me wrong with facts lol

Where are the prospects now?
Frost -- now seemingly back on track (fingers crossed), and in NHL.
Farabee -- blossomed last year, streaky season so far, currently injured.
Allison- Finally got healthy last year after torn ACL and a foot surgery. Showed promise in the AHL. High ankle sprain in Sept 2021 Rookie Game. Close to returning for Phantoms, not quite ready.
Laczynski -- Left hip surgery. Then right hip surgery. Out the entire 2021-22 season.
Foester -- separated collarbone late last season, injured shoulder this season. Currently out at least 5 months after surgery.
Rubtsov -- Following the 2016 draft, had broken nose, two concussions, shoulder surgery, another shoulder injury, wrist surgery and out again currently due to injury.
Ratcliffe -- Currently struggling in the AHL. Last season was a lost year due to broken ribs, collapsed lung and late season ankle injury/ surgery.
York -- Having rookie ups and downs in the AHL. Currently in Covid protocol.
Zamula -- Back surgery that cost him the second half of the 2019-20 season. Another injury this year in camp. Having a roller coaster second pro season. Still well-regarded long term.
Wisdom -- Showed promise in AHL last year until he had a nasty bout with Covid. Did come back to finish the season. Shoulder surgery in August. Close to being ready to play again at OHL level.

With NAK and Raffl I think they are in better situations than here. Raffl has always showed some skill when playing with higher end talent. He scored 22 in one season when playing with Giroux. NAK is streaky. Let's see how he is doing in a month or so when the shine of a new start has worn off.
I like Hagg. They could use him right now. I think he is better than Seeler and Yandle.

ok, Hagg is better than seeler or yandle. I agree
But you think that difference would equate to any added wins? I don't.
its not like any of those guys are difference makers. Bottom line is our top players need to put in more effort and play better and our coaches need to give them a chance to succeed.

I agree. I was just answering the original question. I do not think Hagg, Raffl and Nak would have this team any closer to winning. If the top players were producing this thread would have a lot less posts.
