As a Wild fan I can assure you they are NOT serious contenders, If anyone thinks that this current Minnesota team Is going to have any Impact In the playoffs you don't know hockey. Thanks for the chuckle though.

You'll be front and center on the bandwagon if they do though.

It's not often a player as good as Connor McDavid becomes available. Not saying he's available. But plenty of teams are waiting for him to become available. Especially the Penguins. So, if McDavid ever did become available, the Penguins would be all over it. So would many other teams, perhaps several teams. E2-E5.

The Wild need a 1C. Gallagher plays wing. The Wild have $13-14M dead cap for 3 years after this season. Gallagher is a $6.5M cap hit for 5 years. Makes sense.

I'm not a bandwagon guy Glovewasstuck, I love hockey and when I turn on the games I just want to be entertained regardless of the outcome. I must say these days I love watching the Oilers, That's an entertaining team to watch. I'm definitely excited for Tuesday night when the Wild play Edmonton.

The Wild cap situation doesn't look good now but they will move Zuccarello on or near the deadline and Talbot will be gone after the 22/23 season. Why Guerin gave Kaprizov 9 million at this point In his career Is beyond me.

Don't let the numbers fool you, Ryan Hartman Is currently on a pace to score 40+ goals this season, Who In there right mind thinks that will happen? The bottom line Is that these days Dean Evason Is the top button pusher In the league.

How about gallagher for matheson? The difference is still $1.6M so the pens will need to provide another player or montreal would need to retain that amount as its dollar in, dollar out for the pens. So i just dont see the fit there.

for kane, the locker room SHOULD be strong enough but.....getting a 1st would be a win for hextall.

That's a big no on the Matheson proposal... Habs trading Gallagher would mean full rebuild, a soon to be 28 year old crappy D doesn't exactly scream rebuild

Kaprizov has 9g 19a for 28 pts and is tied for 5th in the NHL in scoring He has 17 points in 8 games, the most in the NHL since Nov 18. $9M for his small sample size may have been an overpayment but it’s Minnesota and many guys don’t want to play there.

“The Rangers are looking add up front too…Kane could also be on their Radar…”

Kane and Reaves in the same locker room?

I’m betting on Reaves. Kane probably is, too.

The Kings are not looking to add to their top six. Blake and McLellan have both said that they have no intention of adding any more players to the organization than the four they added in the off-season (Danault, Arvidsson, Tkachev, Edler). Any "new" players this season will be coming from the AHL.

Is this coming from the same Montreal source that said last month that the Habs were looking to add Tarasenko?

Also, I have a hard time seeing Danault joining a new team and after 2 short months start lobbying his new GM to acquire Gallagher. I think Kopitar or Doughty could walk into the GMs office and propose changes, but why would Danault rock the boat, especially for a roster already exceeding expectations? Nice try.

The Rangers are looking for a middle six forward, I'd send Zuccarello to the Rangers and eat a third of his remaining deal In exchange for Vitali Kravtsov.
