Great, so the Devils have succeeded to give the Flyers Covid 2 years in a row. And now their 2 best players are out(Hart and Willman were their 2 best players Thursday night). Can the Devils just fold already!! |

Do we have any good prospects that aren't injury magnets? What is it with the Flyers? I don't get it.

That's why you do not nurture them in the minors. Bring them up and let them sink, swim or perish.......Even with the drafting of Hart, the 2016 is shaping up to be a devasting draft class Rubtsov a bust, Allison, Laberge and Laz lost to injury. The 2017 class is also not shaping up too well either..... |

What a place to be for an organization. The cupboard is barren, the NHL roster is bad, and they probably aren’t even going to be sellers at the deadline for reasons management will come up with when the time comes. And we still have like 50 games to go.... |

I hope those guys just got that bug I had recently. I woke up Wednesday with a bunch of Covid symptoms. Short/painful breaths, dizziness, a (small) cough, headaches, fever, chills. The labored breathing was what skeeved me out. Started with that before the other symptoms chimed in by late morning. I got tested, and fortunately showed up negative.
Quarantined myself regardless in my room with a big bottle of OJ. That night my fever broke and I sweated it out. Woke up Thursday with a slightly scratchy throat, but was aces other than that. By yesterday I was 100%.
Not sure what it was, but it ripped right through me and was gone. I’ve heard it’s going around. |

We know that MJ has been a reliable backup this year so I'm not too concerned about him. I am concerned if they have to put Hart on the covid list.
Interestingly, the NFL is likely to be moving to a "test only if symptoms show" basis. The NHL should do the same. |

I was prudent you quarantined. You may have had a false negative. My wife got sick, tested negative and then got the vaccine. It turns out she was positive. Then all hell broke loose, as it is not good to get the vaccine right after contracting covid |

Sounds similar to my symptoms and I tested positive. Only one night of slight fever, though, followed by 4 days of cold-like symptoms but I felt great. Other than a loss sense of taste and smell for a couple of weeks, it was a nothing burger. Maybe you had a bout of the good old fashioned flu. Let's hope that's all that Hart has. |

I tested twice. First a home test (negative), then one by the physician (same).
Figured when you stack the probabilities, I was pretty darn sure to be negative.
Regardless, I knew I wasn’t well, so I had planned to quarantine myself regardless. No need to spread a bug of any type, especially one with similar symptoms.
And, as it turns out, all was good! |

This is what concerns me above and beyond this season. One would think that over the last 6 or so years of drafting, at least one player would way over exceed initial expectations and become a high end player. This never seems to happen to the Flyers, but does seem to happen to other teams. Maybe it's just perception and not reality. I don't know but WTF is up with the Flyers drafting disasters? |

I'd categorize Rubtsov as more injury casuality (broken nose, concussion, shoulder surgery after 14 games his AHL rookie year, another shoulder injury the next year, wrist surgery and a knee sprain) than "bust". But it's semantics. |

I got my Moderna #3 plus the flu shot on the same day at the beginning of the month. No real side affects except the soreness at the jab sites (one in each arm) and the stiffness in my joints (got this with my prior Moderna jabs) and a little achiness all over (flu jab).
Yet this past couple of weeks I've been a little bit congested with headaches like my sinuses were blocked, although I'm still able to breathe a little bit through my nose. No fever or aches though save for the headaches. Got tested with negative results (COVID-free). Then I started sneezing this past week.
Turns out it's just my allergies acting up. It's been so nice here that there is more pollen still around (I can't believe the flora is getting a jump on spring, because I always thought that had to do with the increasing amount of sunlight, and we're still days away from the solstice).
I'm also allergic to dust and mold, and it might be a little of that around as well, as it's been breezy and this is the time of year we turn the AC off and keep our windows open.
A couple of days of antihistamine tablets and corticosteroid nasal spray and I'm all cleared up and no more headaches. |
