Agree, it's frustrating. But it probably hasn't been good news since the beginning of the season as the big off season acquisition, which now is looking like a bust.

If he needs surgery, then go get it done and be healthy for next season; it’s not like they are going anywhere this year. I just wish they’d be more like the NFL and disclose more specifics when it comes to injuries.
On one hand I agree with you - this LBI/UBI stuff is silly.
On the other hand, does knowing the specifics really matter? He's out. He's not close to returning. Knowledge of the specifics doesn't change that. - Scoob
It would be nice to know what, exactly, is the issue. Is it career threatening? Should surgery be considered? I just don’t get what the secrecy is accomplishing.

Yes, so there'll be more fodder for Flyers HockeyBuzz.
The b.s. secrecy about injuries is infuriating - BiggE
The information they give, why even give an update. The whole the other team will target the injury is complete nonsense too. Just another point of the nhl not catching up with today’s sports. This ESPN deal is looking worse and worse by the day, hardly any nationally televised games at all.
PS: A New Year's reminder announcement to click the link at the top of the blog to get quotes to work, not the bottom. (Yes, I know you'll forget, but I'm obligated to provide the reminder announcement once a year.)

I agree that the secrecy seems silly. The questions you asked are for the team and player to answer, and have nothing to do with us fans.

Agree. Here's the only update needed: Injured player X has returned to practice and will play in the next game.

Exactly. Anyone still wonder why Nashville was willing to trade a legitimate top pairing RH defenseman for Myers and Patrick?
