Dostal was nails. Trade Gibby ??? Hello Avs ??? Or Caps ??
These last 2 games have shown that Hampus has to be resigned at any cost. Well not any but our D is a disaster back there without him.
TT is money he could’ve had 3 or 4 last night.

Yep, Hampus and Cam are the glue of the back end for the Ducks. Cam was unbelievable last night! 35 mins. of ice time!
Agree about Gibby, too. Dostal is too good to be a backup for as much time is left on Gibson's contract. A decision will need to be made sooner rather than later. |

I don't know about any cost. But lindlholm is 28. Eventually his play is going to decline. Luckily he is a good skater. So it's likely he'll be good till he 31 or 32. Gonna need to start identifying the core players to build around. Gibson and Fowler are already signed for more that 3 years. That leaves Lindholm, Rackel, and Manson on the bubble on weather the Ducks wana keep them. I say sign one of them and trade the other two.
And you still don't trade Gibson. Dostal looked good. But not as good as Gibson. I'd rather trade Dostal in a package to get a top line foward. But there aren't any available. So we're gonna have to wait till the off-season. |

Trade Gibson? For two high firsts and a good prospect...sure. But for what we'd actually get? Are you nuckin' futs?
Tell us what exactly you think a great goalie with a few years at a good cap hit gets back. I'll bet it's not what you think. You think you can get Makar straight up? I'd do that. But Colorado won't. And it's probably all that's standing between them and a Cup. |

Makar is def who I was thinking about… I’d settle for Byrum & Newhook though…
They’re not winning a cup with who’ve they got currently. |

This team isn't going to make any noise in the playoffs. As fun and exciting they are now, they are not a team built to succeed in the playoffs. Trade Gibby, Manson and Rakell at the deadline for high picks, prospects. I think Colorado would consider a Byram and maybe a mid round pick for gibson. Trading Rakell and Manson could potentially garner a first round pick or two depending on the teams desperation. But this is a critical development time for the ducks and can really set them up for future success. With Keslers contract coming off the books and the potential trades of Gibson, Rakell and Manson, the ducks would have an insane amount of cap space to sign the young guys. A future defensive core of Drysdale, Byram, Fowler, Mahura and Lindholm would be extremely mobile and provide plenty of offense on the backend. Now is the best time to make these moves. |

The only thing I would add to this is the fact that we really need a top line foward. Everybody seems to be worried about our defense core. But for Zegras to produce consistently he's going to need a good winger who will score goals. Kind of like Getzlaf to Perry. Or Kariya to Selane. Maybe that's McTavish if they decide to move him to wing. But then you need a future 2nd line center. Either way. We're still onegood young foward away from finishing this rebuild. |

And why would Colorado trade Makar exactly? |
