Edmonton has to do something, Kane or otherwise, Not many players who can offer what he does. Maybe a good fit for the year, I would be scared of any real "Contract" with all the issues, but the kid can play and Edmonton has to try to light a spark on this team somehow.

Also if the Oilers want to upgrade at goalie adding Kane helps that. Resources needed to upgrade goalie or defense won't be used on a forward as they get Kane for nothing.

I see very little downside and massive upside for the Oilers and Kane. Love to see this happen. Love to see McDavid and Leon in rds 2-3 in the playoffs.

Agree with you fully. If you take out the non player bs, he is a solid top 6 guy who brings more physical end than any other top forward on Edmonton, He can score, he would be a great guy for a playoff series (although he ain't played in too many of em) Motived as he should be, looking for a new contract he could really do well for himself and Edmonton

-sign Kuemper
-use Yama as trade bait. Something like Yama, Barrie, Bouchard, picks might get you Chychrun.

-FIRE the coach
-need a new GM to do even a fraction of this...

He Averages 64 games a season. So he won't be there consistently to help produce. And production is all he can offer. It is believed there may already be a rift in the locker room, they don't need another problem in there as history has repeatedly shown him to be. The team needs to fix their team defense, Kane has been a + player 3 times in his career so he won't help that aspect. The Oilers have 2 capable LW already and a 3rd coming soon in Holloway. Too many left shooting wingers as is. They also only have 920k in space left with only 20 of 23 players on the active roster, so they would need to make additional moves to create space for even a league minimum contract. And he is a cancer. He does not help the Oilers issues at this time at all.

Anyone that thinks Kane is a good idea for the oilers is (frank)ed in the head. That starts with Kenny (frank)ing Holland.

This team is done for this year and unless major changes are made they’re done next year and every year until this entire coaching and management group are out.

Could make sense for Kane to sit then try and rebuild his value at the Olympics. If their management would want him there.

Doubtful, and I wouldn't risk it. Nurse could kick his ass though, so maybe worth a gamble? For a fragile room right now, it seems like a poor move considering his teammates in SJ wanted nothing to do with him.

When you have to file for bankruptcy as a multi-millionaire at the age of 28 due to gambling debts... yes it is something that the public can hold against him. Especially when he threatens to retire from the sport to void his contract so his creditors cannot pursue the debts owed.

And yes people who have to support him in the community have every right to judge him. Those who pay for the tickets to support the team, the arena (paid for with tax payers dollars), the community built around the arena (once again paid for with tax payers dollars), they have every right to reject the person and his off ice personality in their community.

The only team that should take a chance on Kane is one with a very strong veteran leadership core who can put this guy in his place when he messes up off ice (and he will).

How would he fit in the room??? He's been cancelled out of 3 already. Publicly they've let it be known he was moved for his interactions in the room. He doesn't get a 4th chance on my team. They sign him and I will officially move on.

Looks like Holland is indeed this incompetent and desperate... he has apparently flown Kane in for a meeting. I can't imagine a GM with any sense would actually consider this assclown . This is disgusting
