Thanks Trevor.
Like I said last blog this team needs a top 6 center and another scoring winger. Maybe Kubalik could be one of those but I don’t think adding more 3rd or 4th line players is going to do enough. Pushing our current top 6 players into the bottom 6 would be a better choice.
If we’re talking to Columbus, I’d be asking about Domi or Bjorkstrand (wishful)
Kessel could be an interesting addition from Arizona, we badly need rw scoring
Hertl would be my first choice for a centerman if Johnny decides at the end of the year to move on, Flames would be able to resign him.
I just don’t think adding more potential is the way to go, Flames need a huge splash if theyre going to do anything in the playoffs. Treliving is what? Going into his 8 th year as gm, with 1 playoff win. He better do something or the Flames will have a new GM next year. |

Trevor, a really nice job here as your summaries of the players is very good. Nicely done.
So the Flames are looking for a middle 6 wing? Or pretty much anything that will improve the club as you threw in Ristolainen. ....... Also noticed there is no common trait to the players you listed. Some are stout, some with real speed, some play wing, some center. |

Ideally a right shot RW would best help the Flames, but playoff insulation is important as well. Ristolainen is a pretty long shot. |

Domi appears to have fallen out of favour with Blue Jackets fans. He may be available. UFA at season’s end. |

If they're not bringing in one of the better players available I don't really see the point. There are far too many questions about what the Flames even are next year to be giving up assets to take on reclamation projects.
I'm also not sure how Roslovic has proven scoring ability with a career-high of twelve goals. Sure, he had a better pace last year, but his pace this year puts him at twelve again. Monahan also has proven scoring ability. Didn't he also force his way out of Winnipeg already? |

Roslovic would be an exciting choice.
Kane should not be an option. Toxic is only one of the many bad adjectives you could use to describe him. |

But if you go by percentage Flames are still second in the Pacific. If the league schedule can't be completed the only fair way to end it would be by percentage rather than points. I can see this being discussed as a possible solution before long.
Old habits die hard but the NHL should take the opportunity to make standings more equitable throughout the season.
Points were fine for 6 teams but percentage would give a better comparison for a large league like the NHL even without Covid.
(It's probably not an accident that the NHL website has been including percentages for a few years .) |

Oh I agree that’s why I said they better start winning some of those games at hand.
On a shortened season how do they take away games vs home games? Flames have played 11 home games this year where as a team like the Panthers have played 21-22. Going to be some serious discussion if they have to shorten the season. |

I agree, it might be a little wishful thinking. Dallas would probably have to add a pick.
Andersson 16 pts
Klingberg 17 pts
Andersson younger, on a better contract than Klingberg.
Wouldn’t that chap your as$ knowing we got that for Bear Cheeze. |

Flames really need some help at RW. If Kane was not such a tire fire he would be the perfect solution. |

Looks like he hasn’t signed in Edmonton yet. He tried to illegally enter Canada and immigration is holding him up. |
