Good point. I think that depends on Strome and where they think they are contract wise. But will amend and good call out, Brain fried, some family stuff, operating on three hours sleep

If Dallas is in the thick of things, he isnt getting moved, plus Paves will have to waive his NTC also, which he has ssaid in the past, that he wants to stay in Dallas, which of course could be all talk.

Problem is, the Rangers need a productive 3rd line 4,5,6 D man who will perform not another goal scorer, the first 2 lines have been producing.

We definitely need a boost to our 5v5 scoring

Morgan Barron has been recalled

which is interesting because Pack play tonight and tomorrow, and this means Rangers would rather him practice with them instead of play the games for the Pack

1st Nils and Kravtsov for a rental in Pavelski? Absolutely not.

The Post has learned that Kakko will remain sidelined for extended period with upper body injury. Has been out since 1/22.

Starting to get concerned that the rumored wrist injury will sideline him for an even further extended period of time, possibly accelerating timeline to acquire a second line winger.

the silver lining to this is the belief that this has been bothering for him for some time, probably contriubuting greatly to his lack of productivity

1st 2nd and lower end prospect. I’d rather get rid of the picks and trade Nils and Kravtsov for other prospects. End of the day Kravtsov is still the most talented forward prospect we have, can’t make the same mistake we did with TonyD and get virtually nothing back for him. Nils will be traded Bc there’s no room for him here but similar to Kravtsov your trading a potential top 4 offensive dman, a top 6 potential forward and 1st round pick for around 30-40 games of a player. Terrible asset management. We have an extra 2nd this year from the Buch trade, get rid of that and a 1st and I think that gets it done.

I’m with 9479, too much for a rental.

My max would be a first and a prospect (Kravs/Robertson type). Not sure I would include Nils in a rental trade, either. Would want to keep that chip for down the road, maybe when he has more trade value.

if Kravtsov hasnt backed off his trade demand then they are gonna trade him

him staying in Russia unless we trade him is bad asset management too

it doesn't have to be a for a rental though

a 1st, two 2nd rounders and two 4th rounders is some decent currency for sure

Kakko is going to be out for "a while," according to Gallant. "At least a month."

No details beyond upper-body injury. #NYR

Understood, I presume the extra year of Miller would mean you would be okay with that offer for him?

A 1st AND Nils AND another plus? Ill pass on that. I love the idea of Pavelski, but as Ive said before its not THE most important need for the Rangers. Especially because we cant resign him. Thus why Im firm on my desire to trade for Copp first. Its a huge move for our third line and we can retain him. So whatever assets we may lose doesnt go to complete waste.

Second move should be for LHD help.
Third move should be a 3rd line winger.
Although with Kakko now being sidelined for a bit, maybe theres a bit of an urgency for it.

THEN and only then, if there is still a need and chance for it, we make a play for a top 6 player.

There is no need for urgency. The Rangers have a solid hold on a playoff spot. The only urgency is if they start to fall off!!
