Aren't we still in development mode? That's what Verbeek said. That's also what Solomon said. So maybe we just need to be a little bit more patient. Our situation mirrors what the Leafs did in there rebuild. They started winning and had just enough prospects. But Toronto really could have used one more year of tanking. So that they had more than enough prospects to trade, or to fill up the roster.
Also we probably need one more year for Peraulta, Tracy, Dostal, McTavish to be ready to make the jump to the NHL. So one more year of the draft lottery would be good.And even another year for Zegras and Drysdale to Mature would be best. So patience is good right now. As Mike Sciosica used to say: "It's all part of the maturation process"
