So apparently Mete is being paired with Zaitsev as Ottawa's top pairing. I was hoping for Brannstrom and Zaitsev so people could see how bad they both really are. Mete is expendable so he gets thrown into the volcano. I have always been surprised by how poorly Mete's career has gone because I remember how good he was at the world juniours. I like him and hope he surprises a few people. |

Ths coach truly doesn't get it! How you never shake up your blueline pairings but you do it with your forward lines all the time is stunning! JBrown serves absolutely no purpose in the lineup. DJ says he is in the lineup for his physical presence. In the most physical game the Sens had last week, against Boston, he had ZERO hits! And did nothing all game long, like most games. Zaitsev releases the puck to Chabot every time he gets it, no matter where he's on the ice. He has put Chabot in so many bad situations that now the pounding he's taking because teams are really loading up on him due to his partner, is out with an injury. This coach is the cause of it, end of story!
As for Mete, man, that paring with Zaitsev will be a trainwreck tonight. Neither wants to get hit. I would've been interesting to see Brannsrom paired with NZ.

Not expecting a pretty result. I feel Brannstrom will eventually have more opportunity to drive the play as the game progresses. However, losing top player after top player will eventually have an ugly result.
Would like to see Stu have a big game. His chances are not coming like they used to. |

hope Brannstrom shows what he can do, but it all comes down to who he's paired with! The coaching staff needs to put these young players in a position to succeed, not get beat up!
Stutzle had a rough week, but teams are game planning against one line really....shut them down and it's curtains as they say.

Ottawa has come out so FLAT! Man, once again Murray is under siege and getting no support! |

Brannstrom stretch pass to Brady, thne to Stutzle, what a beauty PP Goal! |

JBrown 7:24 TOI in the 1st period, Brannstrom 6:05, heck even Mete had 6:18, unreal! |
|
|
|
So the Sens coaching staff all have masks on, but nobody on the Blues coaching staff is wearing masks on the bench?!! |

Given the situation on the blue line, I think this was to be expected. More or less even ice time for all 6 in the 1st. |

Brown mid 2nd period still has the 2nd most TOI, its just incredible that this coach thinks Brown is that effective! Brannstrom is creating offensive chances, set up both goals! But hey, keep giving Brown and Mete more TOI. |

Hopefully, teams just look at his ice time and Dorion can trade him for a used washing machine at the deadline. |

Like many have said on here, enough is enough with Brown. Simmer said it best today, Brown serves absolutely no purpose in this lineup. He has been thrown around physically tonight by the Blues, it's quite comical to watch....a man his size on his backside more than smaller players, unreal! |

So I wondered the same thing when he signed his contract and they tweeted out a pic. Kelly said its a disorder of some sort that has caused his hair to fall out in places. |

I don't disagree. I'm just not shocked now especially given the fact Chabot and his 30 minutes a game is out.
Removing Brown from the lineup is addition by subtraction.
I feel with the Chabot injury, calling up Del Zatto would be a good opportunity to showcase him for a trade. Admittedly desperate, but teams get dumb for d-men at the trade deadline. You never know. Worse case, you send him down to the AHL again. |

Shave it bald then 🤦♂️ |

So prime example....JBrown is supposed to be the guy to keep players off Matt Murray, that's what DJ tells the media almost every game as to why he's in the lineup. The Blues were all over Murray on the 4th goal, falling on him...Brown stood there and did nothing! |

Great point my friend! MDZ....I thought for sure they would call up Thomson with Chabot out....especially since the BSens game is postponed tomorrow due to covid cases with the Laval Rocket.

And now Murray is out of the game from that fall on him! Incredible!

He was caught just watching the play. Not anticipating. Brutal. |

Man. Tough break. So reminiscent of Pascal Leclaire. Would get some momentum and BOOM. Injured. |
