Unfortunately u never know what you’re going to get with Georgie. He can’t be trusted to spot start when needed and be sharp. I definitely think if there was some rhythm to his starts he would be more prepared but you listen to interviews with guys like Hank and they talk about how important it is to get into a rhythm. He will be better off going somewhere where he will be the #1 or somewhere closer to a 50/50 split. Multiple articles the past few weeks have said multiple teams have called with the most serious discussions being with VGK. Send him on his way and move on with Kinkaid or a backup for cheap. |

Need to have someone that can be used to give Igor a rest when needed, be it Georgiev, Kinkaid or other, |

I'd rather have Georgie as back up for playoff run over anyone else in organization. Unless another
goalie can be brought in, doesn't seem worth it to trade him. |

With the amount Georgie is going to play down the stretch, maybe 8/9 games? Would Kinkaid vs Georgie be that much of a difference? |

You just cant trade AG without having a solid backup. Kinkaid isnt the answer and if you trade AG then you still need to trade for an adequate backup. You cant go into the playoffs without a solid backup. Its not AGs fault GG doesnt play him. |

I dont love Georgiev either but it's senseless just to get rid of him
and I don't think he has enough trade value to make it worth it anyway
I think he's here for rest of season |

He’s .500 with a sub .900 sv%. Not sure Kinkaid will be worse than that. |

still doesn't make giving Georgiev away a good idea
Shesterkin's only flaw has been a few weird injuries
having both Kinkaid and Georgiev just in case is better for rest of this season

Partly due to the fact that he hasnt been getting any playing time. How do you expect a goalie to go into a game and not have any rust especially since he hasnt played in almost a month?? |

Gauthier and Georgie for Kolesar. U guys doing it? - nyrangers9479
Kolesar would definitely be an upgrade over Gauthier.
But then we need to go on the hunt for a goalie. My thought for a while has been to grab Halak from VAN. |

Rangers are one of the few teams that have the cap space required to land Fleury from Chicago. At this stage of his career, I can't see him blocking a trade to NY and he won't cost much in a trade. He would be a good pick up and easily replace Georgi for the short term.. |

Granted this is also a fact. That month of December that Shesty was out, with consistent game play, Georgi (with the exception of a couple games against the best teams in the league) had some pretty solid numbers. |

Why wouldn't he?? At this point he wants to be a starting goalie, not backup. |

He's won his Cups ....As long as he doesn't mind ducking bullets in Chi , don't see him chasing another one. |

Yeah I really don’t think the Rangers think they have an issue with their backup goaltending
It’s gonna be interesting which of these 3 games coming up Georgiev starts though |

I said part of it is he hasnt gotten into a rhythm. Some goalies can be back ups, some can’t. Georgie doesn’t appear to be one of them and rather than lose him for nothing in the off-season, I’d try and upgrade the current roster for a playoff push and the +/-1 or 2 games Georgie will win vs Kinkaid aren’t worth keeping him and losing him for nothing. This team isn’t good enough to make a playoff run with Georgie if Shesty gets hurt anyway. |

Because he is stuck on a team that has little chance of making the playoffs and is at the end of his career. A playoff run might interest him as his contract expires... |

I have little doubt not as a backup. Im sure he wont want to move his family again for a backup role. If he even allows a trade to go thru. He already blocked a suppose trade to Washington.
He has already won his Cups, I dont know how high winning another one is. |

Someone brought up Connor Brown yesterday which would definitely be an upgrade over Gauthier, however if were gonna deal with the Sens in a trade, Id like to see if we could grab Nick Paul from them as well. |
