Didn't have a problem with the first or second goals, a deflection, and a perfect corner shot by Kempe. The third goal Gibson was REALLY slow to react (The Kings ran the same play against Stolarz and he easily made the save.) The fourth goal was just bad. Kempe has a nice shot but an unscreened wrister from outside of the circles shouldn't beat a starting NHL goalie. I don't know if Gibson has a slight injury he's trying to play through but he is definitely off. Stolarz hopefully starts on Sunday.
As for the rest of the team, they played the first two periods like they were trying not to lose the game. I was glad I didn't leave after the second because the Ducks were finally being aggressive and taking it to the Kings, which, coincidentally leads to their only goal. The lack of shots is back, too. Quick is a rebound machine this year and yet Anaheim is still trying to pass the puck into the net. This game proved one thing though, they aren't ready yet, which is fine. It makes Verbeek's decision-making real easy this year.

Those 1st 2 goals were complete crap... wtf are you talking about.

He was totally asleep at the wheel on the 1st one.. Completely took the wind out of the Ducks sails.. you could absolutely see it...No way that should ever go in... A simple poke check handles it. The 2nd one was even more egregious.

For a guy that whined about not wanting to be part of a rebuild .. well he's leading team tank... Hopefully Verbeek is not sentimental and ships his sorry ass out as well.

Dostal and Stolli will be more than fine next yr..
