Outlook is rough but still plenty of games for the Canucks to squeak into the playoffs. Whether they do or don't, I think I'm on the side of hanging on to everyone until the season is done. Let them make a good push and see where we end up, decide who to trade in the summer.

Really, honest question: why do you think they're "really bad"? The Rangers are a low scoring team, not great 5 on 5 scoring (22nd in the league), and have a weird window with some of their older players.

The IIHF has suspended the two countries but I don't see the NHL suspending individuals. OV has come out publicly and asked Putin to stop. I think most players are against the war.

Hard to say if they will suspend. Will they force Ovechkin to ultimately miss Gretzky's record? What about the other big names? Russian players are the main draw for a lot of teams.

I agree. Though I would say next season the US and Canadian govts will probably deny re-entry. These players may need to spend off seasons here for now to try and stay in the game.

They never suspended any American players when they illegally invaded nations killing hundreds of thousands of people so I doubt it...

Although NHL is North American that would never happen but same thing with the IIHF....

They are pretenders. Terrible 5V5 team propped up by goaltending. They should be buyers like we should be buyers. Hence why i said they won’t make a big pitch for Miller unless their GM is an idiot! Let’s hope he is. But let’s get serious, we aren’t trading miller

True, but the Canucks only play 10 more games before the deadline. I think things would really have to go south fast for them to consider making any major trades.
