I like Yamamoto, but that is way too much. Those are the kinds of deals that will continue to handcuff the team, in my opinion (i.e. Kassian, Chiasson, Foegele). I know that they are still young, but Poolparty and Yamamoto have been getting gravy positions on the team, and are pretty much point every two game players. You are really banking on stellar growth annually to get value out of those contracts.

Extend Pul and McLeod and trade Yamo in a package for a tough, defensive D-man, hopefully with another year of term. The sooner the better!

Oilers management and media hype guys up like they are all the 2nd coming and then wonder why they all want to be paid like top players.

Norris Nurse all last year...congrats, now he is going to be paid more than Makar

I agree Sean, Oilers better take full advantage of these next 3 games. To say if they keep winning at their current rate they should make the playoffs no problem is Checks stats,
4-5-1 I’m their last 10

Going to be a sprint to the end. Love this time of year.

Keep Smith stapled to the bench (or even better, LTIR) and they are fine. Going to be interesting over the next 3 games to see if they play down to the comp like they have been.

Koskinen has been good when not overworked, so yeah keep Smitty on the bench.

Very good win OIL.

But yes Skinner needs to get seasoned.

Kosky and Smitty ain't the guys lol

Kane such a great pick up on the cheap. Good thing the Oil didn't have to give up 4 players for him.

I think last night confirmed as much as Kosk can show glimmers of greatness Ken has to make a move. Hes our best option today, but the team is way to sensitive to the first goal being score against hes too big of a risk.

Bit of a shaky game for Koskinen, but IMO it was mostly a D issue last night. Keith tipped that one out front for the open netter, Barrie completely screened Kosk while trying to not get hit by the puck on Staal's second goal. Broberg had some issues in his own zone, giving Det lots of quality looks. We do not have the team to make a big run this year, hope Holland doesn't give up the farm for a rental or something stupid like that.

While they need a goalie, they also need some D who'll put people on their ass. Not be likeNurse and his windshield wiper flailing, stick checking stuff. I guess he's got his 9M deal now, so it's not like he has to try for another 8 years.
