F the standings now. Lets be rested. This will help Geno in being rested. Plus, while it was really dirty, its not like he just did that out of the blue for no reason....so while I don't want any Pens players crosschecking other players, no matter the player or the team, in the mouth there is a part of me that likes seeing emotion and fight/bite back. |

All 30+ aged players need some time out. Dumo should be benched for Friedman for a couple games. Mcginn and hallander could each take the place of a 3rd/4th liner. CDS should play every 2nd game till the end.
Geno is gonna be out so might as well try Sid zuck rak. And let the other two carry carter. |

Doubt the Pens will miss Geno much since he has become a liability at 5 on 5 and is only effective on the power play. It hurts that it means more minutes for guys like Carter who can really use so time off. |

Getting rid of the instigator would solve an awful lot of these freebies guys get... Monetary fines mean nothing to them... Getting their ass beat would. |

That’s the bad part. Maybe time to give Erod a shot at 2C. At the very least he’s got the legs. |

The one line change I would like to see is ERod Teddy Kap. Use them as the third line and defensive shut down line. Give Carter Heinen and Boyle/McGinn. |

I can't remember the last time the Pens have been this dysfunctional heading into the playoffs. Maybe it'll have the opposite effect of the times we've looked like a well oiled machine down the stretch and then completely faceplanted. |

I could see this being the end of Sully too. Hextall and Burke might want to put "their guy" in if it goes as south as it's going. |

You would certainly hope so. Hopefully they give Malkin an ultimatum, take what you’re actually worth at this point in your career or look elsewhere. |

I could see them upsetting FLA before beating the Rangers honestly. There’s going to be a lot of pressure on FLA and if the pens could manage going up even 2-1 the Panthers could start gripping their sticks pretty tight. |

Panthers have goalie issues. That will be their demise come PO time unless one of them gets hot

Is there a good guy available? Rangers finally hired gallant. He was the only coach I’d be really interested in that was recently available. Can quenville come back if there are no perverts in the pens coaching staff? |

Yeah I don't really have a strong opinion on whether Sullivan stays or goes, but if there's another first round bounce I think you kind of have to make a change. I think Sullivan is a pretty good coach that runs a good and effective system, but pretty good coaches have shelf lives and the second they lose the locker room things turn to poop. Four straight years of first round exits I don't know how Sullivan could possibly retain the locker room going into next season, and I'd rather not stick with him one to find out the players have quit on him.
That said, there are a LOT of bad coaches out there and I think there's a good chance that if we fire Sullivan we will downgrade. We may not have a choice, but that's something to keep an eye on if/when we cross that bridge. |

Yeah who knows. With our roster construction our best bet might just be going up against the worst possible goalie and just seeing what happens. Problem is that Jarry looks predictably burnt out and nothing might matter anymore. Not sure there's a team heading into the playoffs more sure fire to be a first round exit than the Pens right now. |
