Hopefully we get a long, drawn out series with lots of big hits and scraps. Old time hockey. Realistically I want Edmonton to win because we got Calgary's 1st rounder but want to see Toffer do well yet also would like to see McJesus do well and go far in the playoffs too.

Funny how Carolina is described as defense first. Considering they 6th in goals against. Calgary was 14 goals against (3 EN goals) to Carolina's 20 against (1 EN goal). In three losses, Carolina let in 14 goals alone.

Sorry as a fan (fanatic) I only root for 1 team. I do root against teams which is not to be confused with rooting for the other team.

Only teams I want to lose are TBL, EDM, and NYR. TBL aren't a threepeat caliber team. EDM bc I hate Holland and Katz. NYR due to being a NY native and hating all NY teams.

Funny how you would take a single seven game series and ignore the 82 regular season games before that.

Since I'm not a fan of any remaining team, I'd like to see teams with an entertaining style of play move forward.

Edm/Col and NYR/Fla all play up-tempo (sometimes reckless) games so those would be fun matchups next round.

But since I hate Fla and NYR I'll be hoping for a western team this year.

Exactly. You cheer for 1 team. Then you hate 31 teams, some a bit more than others. Like I hate Tampa Bay, but hate Toronto way worse. So was happy to see the Leafs lose Game 7 again. Sometimes a single player is enough to drive the hatred. For example, the FlyersBuzz crew will be pretty happy if Giroux wins the Cup, so I hate Florida a bit more because of that.

I would tend to think ''liberal New Yorkers '' are six figure income people sipping their Chardonay from their balconies in Soho/ Midtown and have better high society things to do than to worry about about a bunch of millionaire athletes playing a pass time .
