Thanks Carol. Of the teams left I think we’ll most likely see a Tampa vs Colorado final, but you never know, if Tampa makes the finals I think they defeat whoever they play. |

That would be amazing for me, if true. I actually picked Colorado and Tampa Bay to go through in my bracket, with the Lightning getting the three-peat. If I'm right, I think that would be a first!
These rest days should do wonders for the Lightning, and I don't imagine they'll have much trouble getting back in gear when the Conference Final begins!

Thanks Carol.
From Scott Walker
But while the majority of the 20-minute interview was waxing poetic about Boudreau and the team around him, when the subject of analytics was approached, Walker went in a different direction. Despite having worked in various player development roles for the Canucks from 2015 until 2019, when he left to join the Arizona Coyotes’ front office as a special assistant to then-GM John Chayka, Walker was dismissive about the importance of understanding advanced hockey stats.
“I was totally against analytics in hockey. I mean, show me an analytical team that’s won the Stanley Cup,” Walker said. “People would say our analytics weren’t great when we were in Vancouver, but we were winning games.”
“You’re nine games over .500, you end 12 games over .500? That’s the only analytics I care about in life.” |

Miller can go if you can get Schneider, Chytil, 1st, 2nd. IMO |

Tampa looks very good, and very experienced, never seeming to get too high or too low, they know it’s a marathon not a sprint. Stamkos is doing it all for them, a modern day Steve Yzerman who had to wait until his 30’s for a few championships. And yes, the rest will serve them well. Not sure what’s ailing Point but he may be able to make it back for the third round. |

Thanks Carol, if Sweden was 5-1-1-0 doesn’t that mean that they had one regulation loss and one overtime loss? |

To win the Cup? I’d have to say yes. |

I’d think that would be 1 ask from the Canucks. Strome is a UFA so Miller on the cheap for one year helps them go over the top maybe. New contract is a year away & allows time for cap gymnastics. |

Benning hits a home run in the draft and trades it for a single. Adam Clendening.
Would have made the trade for OEL even less necessary.
We traded one year of cap hell and a 1st to try and save JB's job which lasted all of a few months.
It's scary that a management team that is lauded for scouting could trade a good defensive prospect, especially when the cupboard is bare for essentially nothing. Oh right, it made the team marginally better at the time.
Let's hope we escape that mindset moving forward unless we're a top 5ish team at the deadline. |
