No Biggy, They can bring in a young Scotty Bowman & even he can't turn a McDonalds hamburger into a NY Steak. It takes TALENT, Sharks are stuck with long term NMC that will tie the New GM & Coaches hands for years. The Wilson Plan will haunt the team

Sounds like the Fletcher Plan that’s haunting the Wild now. Fortunately, he’s moved on and now Philly is in suffering under his plan.

Rumor mill is Ray Whitney, Mike Grier and one other unnamed are the leading candidates. Wonder if that means they’re closing a deal with a new GM.

What was the reason to wait this far after the season?

Hasso needs to order a buy-out bonanza, tank for years, and gather futures. It is the only way back to contention. Love Hertl, but it was a mystifying signing. At least Wilson is gone now. San Jose is in a unique and terrible cap situation. The 2020's will be a lost decade. It is too bad because the Kings/Sharks/Ducks rivalry was great for a big chunk of time in the 2010's.

The handwriting was always on the wall when Doug stepped down. Boughner was successful in bringing the team closer together and improving the culture to play for one another. However, his system which was a DeBoer Light version, still had some holes as did the lineup. Let's see if he ends up as an Assistant in Dallas where Pavs is currently residing.
