Thanks bill. Make it or break season. Hope it pans out. I like the bit about the rookies and veterans playing together. People forget about the mental aspect.

Now they need to let him out there and try to score, Lets build up that part of his game. Get that confidence back.

So the development was good and the player needs to be better. Kid even references he needs to move his feet but my observation was incorrect. Take a hike

70+ games and 40+ points minimum. Or it's yet another bust first round pick.

Kid needs to be a 200 foot player who brings his hard hat and lunch pale to work everyday kind of player. Drop the gloves at least once or twice a game, get pucks in deep, hates to lose more than he loves to win, and hit sumbuddy too.

Does that cover the all the cliches?

Yesterday was the 18th of July, and chuck fletcher is the worse gm ever; today is the 19th of July, and nothing has changed

I get many on here disconnected and either didnt watch or barely paid attention to those last 12-15 games, but the Cates-Frost-Tippett line was solid. It probably would have looked even more impressive if they hadnt had so many near misses.

I hope Torts runs it back in camp and sees if it is sustainable or if it was lightning in the bottle. I think it was the first time Frost had guys that could keep pace and push the puck up the ice in a way where Frost was almost forced to paly with pace and speed. Coaching should learn from that and make sure he isn't saddled with stationary players like JVR or slower skaters.

just my 2 cents

If that was so, he would've gotten a 4 year deal.

We need to stop talking about Frost as if he was a top 5 pick instead of a #27 pick.

Perspective is required.

Do us all a favor and go look at the numbers of the guys picked at 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 28, 31. etc.

He missed an entire year.

Do we need him to take a step forward? We sure do. But lets stop acting like he was the second coming of Claude Giroux or Connor McDavid.

Him no be all star, him bust. Just stop.

The goal was a tap in, but the play to keep the puck in was 100% skill:

Skill and effort, being hard on the puck. Let’s just do that consistently and he will be fine. Kept his feet moving after winning a battle.

He's played 77 NHL games. This upcoming season is essentially his second NHL season.

Any early odds on GM of the year? Is Fletcher in the running? After all he won the Deslauriers sweepstakes for a player that brings an element that we need and there was a lot of competition for the player.

Well, he won at least ONE puck battle last season.
