Those prospects will serve you well as the team goes through its cap penalty period. |

Judd was too threatening to Jim Benning's power base. He received to much of the credit for Jim's liking. Looks like all plaudits were well deserved. Where are you now Jim Benning?? Getting his hair dyed probably. |

The Wild, a team building itself into a contender, has the best prospect system in the NHL. The star potential in their top 5 (Rossi, Boldy, Addison, Yurov and Ohgren) is immense. Nobody else can touch it.
Seriously, best prospect system in the NHL and nobody else can touch it? This is very debatable and i can find plenty of sources (that rate prospect pools) that have the Wings prospect pool over the Wild or other teams ahead of both. Yes the Wild have a very good prospect pool but so do plenty of teams. Who has the best is highly subjective. |

Complete delusion. The Wild are pretenders that would miss the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. They'll be worse this year with all that dead cap money and have no chance at contending until 2025 when the $14m/year in dead money is relieved. |

Agreed. I’m surprised they’re even in the top 5. But to say no one else can touch it is absurd |

jfkst1, I think you might be the delusional one. The Wild would be just basically in the same place in the EC playoffs as they were in the WC playoffs picture. The Wild went 24-6-2 against the Eastern teams, and 11-4-1 against the Eastern teams that were in the playoffs. You MUST be trying to troll.
They probably would have had a better chance to get out of the 1st Rd as well if they had been playing in the EC. We all know that the Western Conference is definitely a stronger conference to play in.
As for the prospect rankings, if there are rankings out there that show teams better than the Wild, give some links. But just don't say "what a joke, there are better team prospects out there". Back it up with something. I myself, am surprised to see anyone rank the Wild prospects as #1 overall. I don't consider Boldy a prospect anymore, am still not sold on Addison and don't consider Peart all that great either. But guys like Rossi, Wallstedt, Faber, O'Rourke, Lambos and Hunt look like players that should have very good NHL careers, if not star careers for a couple of them. The book is still out on Ohgren and Yurov. |
