it's remarkable how little all 3 teams have to show for what they acquired in the trade involving Ellis, Patrick/Myers, and Cody Glass |

Lucky us though to be stuck with Ellis cap hit! Chuck should be banned from making any more trades from now until his eventual firing |

I'd feel better if I knew how long the potential recovery is with Ellis. I understand the team might not even know that, but I would be more inclined to be patient if I knew Ellis is missing camp and the first XX weeks of the season. He would return in December? January? In time for playoffs? Oh, wait... |

I’d rather be anyone of the teams that saw one of Myers, Patrick or Glass in return because those players cost you nothing. You can write them off. We’re married to big money when it comes to Ellis and we’ve seen this before with Pronger, LeCavalier, Umberger and MacDonald. Long, large deals that never worked out. |

Multi layered, every body part injury. What is the doctor even saying to this guy |

I remember that game the Kordic brothers played against each other, and it got uncomfortably close to brother vs. brother fisticuffs. |

I'm obviously not a doctor (barely literate) but it sounds like kiss of death. Dude should be wheelchair bound. Actually might not be our worst option on D in a chair.

Those are also all extremely different examples. Pronger was actually a freak injury, lecavier was over the hill and should have never been signed, Umberger was a term swap, and Macdonald was never good. Ellis, should have had some good hockey left in him, I guess you could call this one a freak injury too but at least Prongers time here was very good up until. |

Well the first time I did, smart people like you suggested ten months ago that deal was a wash. It never was. |

We all hoped for Ellis to recover, but we knew he was destined for LTIR. It would have been nice to see him with Provy for more than 4 games. Chuckles is in over his head. I wonder who will end up taking his place in the near future? |

Any player can experience a freak accident at any time. The difference is, Ellis has always had problems with injury, which some including myself pointed out the day of the trade.

Everyone knew he had injuries, never anything long term. Your post was irrelevant and incorrect |

You thought things would improve injury wise as he turns 30? |

Those in the fantasy camp seemed to have more jump then the Flyers have had in years. I'm sure Oliver's wife might have a thing or two to say about his return in 2023.
Glad he's ok. |

Ryan Ellis appreciation night will be when the Flyers host Nashville. Tickets are on sale now. Personally, I'm hoping #94 is taken out of circulation. The dude earned it. 4 of the most memorable games I have ever watched in all my time as a Thrasher fan. |

Seems to me that Nashville gained plenty. They got out of a 6+M deal with 6 years of term left for an injury prone player.
