So this news has created "real reason for concern" in Philly? Why? It's pretty obvious this is a garbage roster that will be in the lottery. Losing Ellis helps their cap. Couturier missing time helps their lotto odds. Flyers fans should be happy to hear this.

It is time to call every team up against the cap and start taking their contracts as soon as the LITR kicks in.

The sad reality is like the Sixers or the Pens or Colorado - you need to SUCK for a while to get the foundational player(s) needed to have a core to win. Mr. Snider didn't get that at the end. We were ALWAYS GOOD but rarely great.
The fanbase wants GREAT.

So Fletcher traded for an injured player either knowingly or because of his lack of research. His back up plan is to hope for the best.
I don't blame him for Cooter being injured, but I do for not being prepared for the possibility that Cooter would not be ready for this season. That is just lazy GMing. Same with not actively solving the problem with a top right D.
