Zak MacMillan: CBJ G2 v Tampa Bay Lightning — Home Opener

Last night's game was, pretty much, more of the same from Tuesday night. There were times when we controlled the puck in the OZ, but usually it was one-and-done, or dump the puck to the Lightning.
Tarasov got the bad end of last night - 2 of Tampa's goals were skate deflections off BlueJackets players.
Then thel PP (0/4 last night-including a 5 on 3; 0 for the season) and Larsen is using Danforth on PP1 in Laine's spot instead of a qucik-release sniper like Chinakhov !!
C'mon man !! Get with it - not using the hottest goal scorer in the pre-season !
Nothing against Danforth because he's great in a bottom-6 role, but not the shooter for a PP1 set.

I didn't like the hiring of Larsen last year, and still don't like it. IMO he's in over his head.

I forgot to mention the defense not clearing the front of the goal. On Perry's goal he was standing in front of the net and it looked like Gavrikov wasn't making any effort to move him !
Didn't see Gudbranson doing much of that either !!

That's supposed to be why we have "heavyweights" like them - use their muscle and clean up the garbage in front of our goalie !
