He was brutal. Lack of finish and bad defense/goaltending is why they lost. They are actually playing way better 5v5 than last year. Shooting % is down so far as opposed to last year.

Whole team looked flat and slow. I'm glad they didn't waste an Igor start on that kind of performance.

Does that mean Igor gets both back to back games?

Lack of depth showing up early. If the top 6 isn’t clicking they have no shot it seems

It’s early but depending on players like Vesey, Blais and Carpenter not looking great so far. Got to figure out a way to get something out of the bottom 6. Maybe they need to look to Hartford

Chytil will be sidelined for at least a week and next four games per NYR. Concussion suspected.

Yup. Most of the bottom 6 isn’t working. I remember years ago when the Rangers brought Hagelin up it completely transformed the bottom 6. Need that type of energy and impact. Speaking of, Motte is off to a great start in Ottawa.

Carpenter and Reaves are not providing anything.

Blais goodrow and vesey on the 4th line when healthy. I would call up Cuylle for that spark.

Low key kinda like Trivigno. Although he’s only played 1 game in Hartford so far for some reason.

I like him too but is he too small to play on our 4th line?

I think we would at least notice him every night and he could help shift the energy. Definitely prefer Cuylle but don’t want to rush him.

Any good new horror? Nothing has "jumped out at me" when I'm flicking around.

I have always been a supporter of having Reaves on this team.

I am actually bothered that he didn't do ANYTHING to Sillinger to retaliate for Chytil. Even when the game was out of reach, that is his role on this team. Sillinger took a gratuitous shot that injured Chytil. Reaves didn't make him pay.
