Adding Chychrun would just be adding another problem child to their mix. He slid in the draft because of character issues and is not showing much of a team first attitude these days. |

Vancouver's defense is weak. Everyone knew that before the season started so unless goaltending was amazing, they were always going to need to outscore opponents. |

I guess the boat anchor Zona sent them last time hasn't completely sunk them yet. This one will finish the job. |

Meaning they need to get strong offensive production from the lineup which hasn't happened so far. I don't think most fans expected Canucks to be more than a WC team. Maybe #3 in their division. |

Their group of d-men is precisely why I never had them in the mix for a playoff spot. Meanwhile, Ek trying to tell us they have the best top 9 forwards in the division (better than the Oilers) and were red hot to finish the year in 2022 (they weren't).
Very curious how the Canucks add Chychrun's cap. Who is going back. By process of elimination...they aren't trading Petterrsson or Hughes, Horvat's the captain, Boeser - doubt it, JT Miller - Arizona doesn't want that new contract, OEL, Myers, Mikheyev, Pearson all have some form of NMC/NTC and I'm sure nobody wants to play for the joke of a franchise in Arizona. So who is left? Conor Garland going back to Arizona, with some picks and prospects? Sure. I got my eye on them. |

tbf the AHL average attendance for last season was larger than the Coyotes attendance at maximum.

Garland/Pearson for Stecher/Ghost
Get it done JR. - LordHumungous
Is Vancouver looking for help on the pp?
Ghost is not going to help keep the puck out of net so assuming you are thinking Vancouver needs him for offense? He kinda floats around on d, just kinda hangin out back there…
Don’t mind Stecher, actually. |

I know o'le Jimmy Ruth isnt the GM but I bet he's starting to wish he was with itchy trade fingers wishing they were fondling the trade trigger....that old gun slinger will axe the GM and become GM too before you know it.... |

Stecher was one of those guys we probably should have kept like Motte then it ended up stinging us. Good utility players that can step up the lineup if needed. But oh no we can't have our 4th liners or third pairing Dmen making more than 975K lol
I'm just spitballing on Ghost. If Rutherford is actually talking to ARZ I'm sure it's on Chychrun. |

Chychrun isn't even projected to be back until mid-November. So if the Canucks swing a trade, they are going to get a player who hasn't played in a game since mid-March. It will take a bit for him to get adjusted into the line-up. So he's no quick fix and isn't going to save their season. PLUS, the Canucks already visited Philadelphia in October. Chychrun lived there when his dad played there before he was born. That would have been a moving homecoming. |

They would be better off getting Bear from the Canes or POJ from Pitt (though POJ is a LD) I doubt if LA will give them a RD at a decent cost. Either way they may be bidding against Montreal for the guy. |

It's like how Jake Allen is probably worth a 1st now, because he's playing so well, and several contenders will probably be looking for a goalie help.
Hmm, made a bit of sense if Allen was a UFA rental, but he was extended 2 more years after this at almost $4M/yr. No contender wants that. Also hilarious timing...Allen played great against Toronto, then Detroit (meh), then Arizona (meh)...now he's what all the contenders are looking for. Next game he gets shelled for 5 goals against Dallas. |

Pens have 9 Dmen. Were not happy they couldnt keep Smith with the big club. Rutherford knows that D core better than anyone. surely he is willing to over pay for someone. Would he be willing to take brock mcginn as part of the over payment? |

Robertson and a 1st for Chychrun.
Who says no? - .HOHO.
Any competent GM says no.
Robertson's ceiling doesn't appear to be a first line superstar. This isn't Kucherov or Panarin or Gaudreau. Seems more like a 2nd line support player, who is small and therefore, more prone to injury.
That 1st is likely in the last 10-12 picks of the draft.
Add Knies and another pick or the call is over.

Yeah but he just had a huge game against Dallas so now he’s worth a ton! |
