Looks like we'll be buyers at the TDL. Gotta find a right handed sniper for Kane to feed pucks to. Assuming Vegas crashes and burns, Kessel would be a cheap pick up and then you offer Riechel and the 1st from Tampa for Panarin.

The Hawks probably aren’t gonna keep up this kind of win%/record, but more importantly you wanna see the team continue to evolve and take on a new identity under a new coach. Build good habits. Consistently show signs of change in culture and overall style throughout. Etc…

Keep it up and slowly but surely as the young talent is added over the next few years we’ll see it all pay off.

I like it. But why stop there? I’m sure we can get McDavid for Entwhistle and a 3rd. Maybe a 2nd if they really wanna get greedy.

Sure, the PK was 6-6 and that OK. But with no short handed goals it’s really just another fail.

To be fair, wasn’t Stalock’s lack of playing time the last 2 years because of illness and not performance?

So if T. Johnson is out any length of time, does KD recall Robinson or Reichel?

Its Johnson, it'll be season ending.

Didn't take him and Mrazek long to live up to their reps on injuries

Not to be too negative, really think getting a proper system and style of play in place is key to a long term rebuild. While I don't think the winning will continue, there is no reason that the style of play can't continue.

Gotta say, the more you watch him, Kurashev looks really relaxed and confident on the ice. It's nice to see he's earned consistent time with consistent linemates.

I would move Kurashev up to Toews line and Katchouk should be ready to fill Kurashev’s spot soon. In the meantime Reese Johnson can play 3rd line minutes.

It looks like Tyler will be out for an extended period of time. Too bad. He was playing well and seems like a good teammate.

Just the change by the new coach on there system was enough to improve this team. But don't get to excited, the losing will come. But its nice to day dream about playoff hockey.

Be interesting to hear the take on 90's status from the team. A boot suggests foot or ankle. I wasn't able to spot anything obvious -but all I was seeing was a twitter clip at full speed and crummy res.

It looked a little like a potential MCL strain -but you wouldn't (I think) need a boot for that as it is more knee area. And not a bundle of pleasantness -although not a major deal (usually a bit of rest, day to day, and playing with some pain -but full range of motion) ...but that's just what I thought looked like it might be -but the boot is ...well, that is a different deal ... am sure about that.

New coaching philosophy making for more competitive hockey .... outcome, sort of not overly relevant ... but nice to see some good old fashioned hard work.
Is it me, or was SJ basically but-t running Stalock all night? The highlights were showing him constantly running into his goalie down low in the crease... am not sure most defensemen actually do that sort of thing regularly ... I imagine it gets goalies rather urinated off.

Correct, but playing the way he is with that much time off is whats really impressive.

Win or lose, it's nice to see a team compete within a disciplined structure. Foundations are built years before the success actually comes. In the least they have justified my Center Ice expenditure so far.

Yeah, was thinking the same thing when I ponied up for mine. Price has come down from when I first started purchasing it at least.

I thought for sure this team would struggle scoring goals? And they probably will.

I'm looking at a team that frustrated the hell out of a team that is considered a Stanley Cup contender, reports they were chirping at one another on the bench.

If they can frustrate a team like the Panthers, bury skilled teams in the corners, there is no way we are getting a top 5 pick. Probably between 7 and 15 this year.

It's weird watching this team, expecting them to suck and they don't.

I for one think the Oil are soft so really curious to see that game, and how it unfolds.

Beaudin's stock fell so far with the Hawks that he is traded for a player in the ECHL.

Hawks obtain Canadien 22 year old "prospect" Cameron Hillis, 3rd round pick in 2018. Center - 5'-10" 170 pounds.

Looks like an exchange of players needing some fresh scenery. Beaudin going back home to Quebec. Hillis just a guy to fill out the Rockford or Indianapolis roster.

Yeah, he really seemed to fall out of favor quickly after being sent down after his first call up. Doesn't seem like he ever figured out what kind of D-man he wanted to be.

Another of the Four Horsemen bites the dust. No great loss IMO.
