Based on what you know, when the GM re-signed Risto was that his call or was he getting pressure from the “advisors”?

The rumor was like 4/5 years for 4 per then it went up a full million+ as well as an extra year. Any idea what changed?

Think it is a bad choice to dress 7 defensemen. Your farm team is a couple hours away. You knew this a few days ago you would only have 11 forwards.

Will look forward to Zamula having his minutes cut.

my guess is the 7 D is to get Risto in and see who should come out but I think he also wants his forwards to get more TOI, Torts doesnt mind the 11, he wants it

It sure is a coaches decision. If he is healthy to dress, and he is, then there should be no hesitation.

It's a good/low-risk move, but he's got a great shot and not much else. Hope he can put it all together elsewhere

This is no risk trial run to see if a change works in his favor. Now up to the coaches to see to it he is not put in a 4th line environment role.

I do think there are decent players on the blueline here and at LV. The forward options are a big issue. A bunch of players who top out as 3rd liners on a good team. Gauthier really needs to develop as a center and avoid the career ending injury.
