Not letting recently drafted players play in the AHL continues to be one of the worst rules in sports.
At a minimum, first round selections should be exempt. |

Thanks Trevor. Nice Oiler jab, keep it up.
Hopefully Johnathan takes care of business before the game. Hate to see Francis worry about his status. |

I can see this both ways. Some players would benefit from being sent back to junior while others would be better suited for the A. Making it all 1st round selections is too vague imo. NHL team choice would probably be sending them to the farm, thus hurting junior teams in the process |

Yep. That's why the rule applies to CHL players, but not to European ones. |

I never really thought of that. Lots of NHL teams try to get their prospects over earlier playing for CHL teams, it’s not a bad strategy. |

I would like a rule where each NHL team can have one CHL player play for their AHL team, but only one per season. |

Some how some way the CHL managed to lobby the NHL to have the young stars play more games in Junior. |

Flames box office is so bad. Went in at 3pm to get a refund on my RATM tickets. Their tour has been officially cancelled for anyone who may have tix here that haven't applied for their refund. I paid cash at the ticket window because I heard the horror stories of people not being able to get online to get them. Took them about an hour to approve my refund then paid me my $570 with $220 in 20 dollar bills and $350 in 10s. This is at the box office at the dome. My truck sat with its blinkers on for an hour at their will call window for an hour so they could process 3 tickets being refunded for an hour, to pay me in 10s and 20s. Any restaurant in this city could process that faster and not pay it in such insignificant bills. Even the closest McDonalds or Subway. |
