Alas, as much as I'd like a 2-game sweep, the BlueJackets will continue their futility. Head coach Brad Larsen just does not put players in the best situation/position to succeed. i.e. using Jenner at center, only because he can win faceoffs, even though he plays better at wing; giving Gudbranson top-4 D minutes even though he's a defensive disaster - and doesn't block shots, doesn't do any "enforcement" when our players (especially goalies) get run over.
A team with this much talent and skill shouldn't be losing every game by 3+ goals. The Powerless Play is tragic . . . with Gaudreau-Roslovic-Laine-Werenski !!
There are some winnable games this month - even for the BlueJackets - but if November ends up like October Larsen has to be gone. Bring in a coach who knows how to properly use this team.
What is wrong with Elvis, is he just not as good as he was showing last season or is the team in front of him playing like crap?
I think a little of the former, and more of the latter !! He's inconsistent. Will make the stellar stop, then let in a terribly soft goal. Maybe it's a focus issue. He says he likes a lot of action, but the flood of dangerous shots this defense allows is tough for any goalie to survive.
