Funny little exchange with Juraj Slafkovsky today. His weight came up, so I asked what his ideal playing weight would be at 25 once he’s done developing if he’s already 240 at 18. He said he’s not at 240 anymore, more like 230, at least as of two days ago. So I mentioned to him that he’s gotten an inch shorter and 10 pounds lighter since being drafted.
“At this rate, you’ll finish the season at 5-8, 170.”
Slafkovsky, laughing: “I’ll look like Cole!” |

Funny little exchange with Juraj Slafkovsky today. His weight came up, so I asked what his ideal playing weight would be at 25 once he’s done developing if he’s already 240 at 18. He said he’s not at 240 anymore, more like 230, at least as of two days ago. So I mentioned to him that he’s gotten an inch shorter and 10 pounds lighter since being drafted.

so with the Chiarot trade with Florida, the Habs got a 1st for the 2023 draft, a 4th in 2022 and Smilanic.
Smilanic is not doing well in the NCAA so far, 6GP, 1G 0A and -5
with the 4th round draft pick, Habs drafted Cedric Guindon who is currently 5th in OHL for points, 25pts in 18 games  |
