Will they get more than 30pts in the 2nd half?

Trade deadline is on March 3rd...we should see some changes before or on that date. Habs are also off for 10 days in Feb, they play on Jan 31st and after that on Feb 11th. 6 back to back games left on the schedule.

very curious to see what happens, kinda depressing to think Monahan might be the only one to move, while it's apparent the habs desperately need a guy like him. (I understand why they would trade him, but still lol)

More time to move into the top 5, or even 3, picks.

All good.

We knew it would be a long season. For the most part, happy with the kids' development, but now we are seeing where they are struggling - missing second line center support, bad team defensive play has exposed the kids on the back-end, and Slaf has not progressed in months.

More concerning, overall effort seems to have fallen off the table of late... that is not a good sign.

Will be interesting to see how this moves forward with the unfriendly schedule in the second half.

Like I said the other day, it went to hell when Monahan got hurt

the stats when he went out of the line up are awfull

they probably started to give more goals as well at the same time it became easier to slow down suzuki and the first line

I like how there's barely anything good about what you're saying in your post after you said "all good".

No.

I said for the most part, the kids' development has been good. Very happy with what is happening on the D corps and the first line w/ Dach.

But the last few weeks, poop has fallen off big time.

I am fine with losing and getting a better pick, but show effort and continued development.

That is what the last half of the season should be about.

hey man, I did say "barely"...

anyway I agree that team effort and player development should be the main focus for the 2nd half, as the latter becomes more difficult when you barely have any of the former.

Guys are still fighting for contracts, some want to be traded, some are trying to make the NHL. They will get a second wind...probably after the ASG break.

Roughly 8-10 Montreal Canadiens are meeting with a French teacher today after expressing a desire to learn the language. A plan will be built based on their schedule after this initial meeting.

I don't know what a guy like Dadonov is (frank)ing waiting for, and I'm not sure he'll get this "second wind" you're referring to, but it would be nice lol.
