It was not pretty at times. However, the team did what was needed to be done.
I know I have been critical of Nelson, especially in his early years but he is a consistent piece of this puzzle. He has definitely stepped up his game since Tavarse left.
It was good to see Lee-Nation get on the board. Say what you want about Parise but that guy has done nothing but work his azz off since he has gotten here.
Again, I was surprise Sorokin got the start yesterday. But I am assuming Lambert is looking at this "Varly is 12-7-4 in 25 games with a goals against average of 2.38 and a save percentage of . 926 against the Bruins in his career."
Hopefully the boys show up early today.

To Shelley's question...I think Nelson has been one of the most consistent players. Still think Sorokin has been their best player this season. |

Lastly, How does Toronto continue to make these trades...Gets first team trading him to eat half of salary and the brings in a 3rd team to split salary again. |

What could we realistically get from Toronto for Varlamov? |

Nelson was much better once Barry became coach. Lee needed a game like last night. This team is so much better off without Bailey and his turnovers and laziness. Parise has been really good from just his effort alone. Great example for the team and especially young players. |

Would be nice if the Islanders had another Holmstrom type player in Bridge to take Bailey's place. |

Exactly. I'm not sure Ross makes them better.
Tougher absolutely.
Better , probably not.
That's why I think if they are going for it that there has to be a couple more trades coming. |

At this stage not much. Toronto has already used their 1st rounder with O Reilly. They are not going to take anything away from their current roster.

Isles currently have the final wild card. There’s no way they are selling when they’re teetering the line. |

Bailey didn’t make the trip. Undisclosed upper body injury after being benched. What a coincidence |

TomAto, tomOto. Looks like Barzal might of tweaked his knee? If we lose him we’re toast. |

Can MSG cut the poop with the constant Devils pre-game show wraparound at the bottom of the screen too? Who gives a poop? |

Looks like Barzal injured now. Played less than 2 mins. Looking at the Bruins, Rangers, Canes, Leaf’s (added grit today) and other teams above the Isles, I’m not feeling so good about our chances if we limp into the playoffs. I want to win but I’m a realist. |

If we loose Barzal it is time to sell. It will be too much of a hill to climb with no depth.
