I just saw that Mr. “Bias for Action” a/k/a Mr. “Aggressive Retool” is going to start giving a master class on how to ruin a franchise.

I hope Desoyners plays at center, see what he got. Hope he makes the most of the opportunity.

At least the Flyers have a state of the art analytics program. So we got that going for us. I’m sure that will help with the deadline transitions. Look how much it helped influence the last off-season transactions.

The fact that Comcast is still hanging on to Chuck going into the TDL is the cornerstone of what's wrong with this franchise. Doesn't matter who the coach is or what tactics he uses to motivate players. This team is destined to become a basement dweller for a long time to come. And, one day when they get competent people in charge (LOL), those taking over will be looking at an East Palestine-like disaster that will take years to clean up. I am not optimistic for the next 5 - 7 years, or more.

Spot on! The Organ-I-zation needs fresh blood in the GM slot with a modern day understanding of the NHL and the salary cap.

The tank is alive and well, thankfully! Gonna get another good young prospect to add to the pool, just gotta keep building on that and pray that Fletcher and the rest of the jabroni’s are dismissed at the end of the season.

Hang on now, “destined to become a basement dweller”, I hate to break it to you but they’re already there having finished fourth last in 2022 and another bottom’ish finish coming in 2023. It’s just part of the rebuilding process. We have to pray they draft well, they can run the team like crap, as long as they don’t trade away picks and they draft well.

But there is hope for the future, through drafting, which has been the key for every successful team since the inception of the salary cap. Is it the only factor, no, of course not. The cap killed the trade market, for the most part, you just don’t see blockbuster trades anymore.

The system is designed so that losing is part of winning, as a general statement. As much as it sucks, it’s just part of the deal. Hopefully they can draft well.

With Ellis, coots, Atkinson et. al. On IR, can't we pull a Phoenix and take on salary on expiring contracts along with picks?

On IR, no. Currently only Ellis is on LTIR. They can move other players to LTIR to create cap space if needed but the Flyers need to be concerned about bonus overages.
