I think the Flyers come away with at least 1 point today because they are the Flyers and what is in their best interest, they do the opposite.
Also, isn't it kind of wierd that the JVR and Hayes were on the 4th line before the deadline and Deslaurier was on the 1st line and now everyone has reverted to their traditional lines post deadline. It's almost like Torts was giving Fletch the middle finger with the predeadline lineups. |

And here we see the difference in a forward thinking GM and an imbecile GM. Yzerman sees that the east is stacked this year and the Wings have no chance to compete for a Cup, and he sells off assets for draft picks. This is how you actually retool on the fly! Chuckles has no idea what I'm even talking about. PLEASE FIRE CHUCK!! Thanks! |

Fletcher booed out of the joint yesterday. The nerve of Steve Coates to chastise paying customers. People who foot the bill for this clown show.
Did Dave Scott have the guts to show his face yesterday?
Why is Fletcher still the GM? I'd like for someone to provide one single reason why this buffoon is still employed. What has he accomplished? |

The entire organization can (frank) off. I hope the Canes win the Cup and that Hagg scores the winning goal tonight |

Looking at the standings. I’m not sure we get any lower than this, Montreal lineup rivals ours and Vancouver is maybe the only one to pass us. Picking 8/9 overall with this lineup is just the icing on the cake, just bottom this thing out for christs sake. Move anyone with value this summer (short list) |

That is such a sad lineup to look at when you have a GM in year 5 of his duties as said GM.
So underwhelming when compared to other teams. Embarrassing |

All you folks forget Flyers are the 5th most improved team in the NHL. |

This March schedule should help get them into the bottom 5 or 6. |

here's hoping tanner stays healthy. guessing the lack of depth is why he had no conditioning games in the ahl.
for the standings, we will see. Montreal and Van, right there. maybe get that 6th pick. would be nice. Van has the easiest schedule IMO, habs are mid, then us |

Outside of getting the # 1 or # 2 pick, are you confident this collection of losers can make the correct selection?
Unless they get Bedard, and to a lesser extent Fantilli it doesn't matter. |

I can just see it now. Torts sours on Tanner quickly stating he doesn't seem to work hard and is behind the play. Plays him 2 minutes for the next 3 games before scratching him. |

I'll be curious about the effort level now that the deadline has passed. 20.games to go, out of the playoffs, how interested will players to be blocking shots. A lot of these guys on the roster are quite familiar being out of playoff contention with 20 games to go. |

Im not even mad at the lack of deals any more.
The only deal I WANT to see is Fletcher gone along with Barber and the rest of the no tank dinosaurs.
I hope the pathetic turnout at the season ticket holder meeting woke Comcast up, but I doubt it.
This franchise is stuck in no mans land for a long time to come. They have too many immovable contracts and not enough high end talent coming up to make up for it.
They are at the point now where they actually NEED to sell good players for not so good returns just to get the cap space and the poor enough team to actually finish low enough to get great draft picks. As usual they are a step behind and will just miss out on a truly game changing player this year because they will finish 6th, or 7th, or 8th. THEN have to sit with Fletches thumb up their collective ARSES waiting for round 3 because they spend 2nd round picks like candy.
Teams like Chicago are going to get a great player this draft and are set up to come back WAY more quickly than the Flyers. Chicago will be playing for a cup again before Philly is even close to contending.
Please, Comcast, I beg of you, sell this team and will the new owner cut ties with every old head that has any semblance of influence. Get rid of any notion of the "Flyer way". It hasn't worked in almost a generation.
We as fans are ready for a tear down to the studs and rebuild. But those in charge right now are not the ones to do it. Because they have no idea what they are doing.
Maybe I am mad after all.
oh and PS.
Torts is NOT the guy either. His type of player are exactly the kind of players we DONT need.

Would be great if Tortorella wills this team to play well here down the stretch. A nice #9 overall finish. |

I don’t think effort will be an issue, at least most nights. A lot of these guys are playing for a future in this league. |
