Karlsson won't waive his no move clause for another non competitive team.. maybe 3 or 4 teams tops that he'll waive to go to.

“San Jose could have made the Oilers deal by taking on more money. It was a great package, but they didn’t do it. Mainly because they know there were other, non playoff team suitors, who were telling them to wait until the draft….and they would make it worth their wild.”
So here is a statement in quotes, with no information as to who is being quoted. (worth their wild?)

Ok...look. Is Ek a journalistic genius? No, he's not. But having the same people coming in to run him and the site down on the reg is just stupid and moronic. Those people claim...repeatedly and at length....that Ek is trash, this site is trash, on and on and on....

It's insane. Are their lives so pedantic and sad that the only joy they have in life is to berate others?

You don't like Ek or this site? Then bugger off and let those of us who enjoy the community here enjoy themselves without having to deal with YOUR crap.

Why would a team want to tie up that much money on a player who in no way going to repeat this season's numbers?

Hi Erik. Are you interested in moving your family from sunny San Jose where you can walk around anonymously and move to:

a) Montreal. It's cold. You will not be able to go out in public and if your play deteriorates the media will jump all over you. You are also not winning a Cup during your contract.

b) Edmonton. It's even colder than Montreal. You will not be able to go out in public and if your play deteriorates the media will jump all over you. But you could win a Cup.

c) St.Louis. It's cold. It's dangerous. It's ugly. And you won't win a Cup.

Umm, I think I'll just stay in San Jose. Collect my $11.5M. Go to the beach. Try to get a lot of points and not care if we win or lose. Thanks. Bye.

However, the Blues, Red Wings, and Canadiens all showed interest and possess the picks and players to make a deal happen this summer, since no one NOT in the playoffs would want to pay Karlsson the rest of this season…-EK

But even if 65 waives, why would these teams (especially DET and MON) want to commit to a 33 year old defenseman at 11.5 AAV for 4 more years? I don't see it. SJS is stuck with him.

Speaking about the Habs, we have a glut of incoming D, so I don't see it, either.

To be honest, at this point i would not be surprised if he would rather just cash a pay check and play for a small market team. That's all he's really known up until this point.

At the beginning of his tenure in San Jose. When things were not going well. He seemed pretty agitated and that's only SAN JOSE!

As others have said, Karlsson has complete control. He'll want a playoff team. And if the teams are wise, it would be teams nearing the end of their competitive window (if one remains at all). Young upcoming teams should not being taking on Karlsson's contract risk given his age and durability.

Apparently KD inquired but MG didn’t want him collecting all the infinity stones (contracts over $10K)

Yesterday you went 5-3. But claim to go 6-2. Let's recap:

Nsh over Anaheim. Correct.
Min over AZ. WRONG.
Bos over Det. WRONG.
Ott over Cgy. WRONG.
NJ over Car. Correct.
Veg over StL. Correct.
Pitt over NYR. Correct.
Wpg over Tampa. Correct.

So that's 5-3.

Your record isn't 52-20. It's 51-21. Please update.

And if we include the first 38 games that you erased, it's 70-40. That's a 64% success rate. Just pick the favourite each game and you can easily do better than 70%.

I’m a Canucks fan but 86 points is a big lol. Tank nation in Vancouver would have a stroke.

not to mention he should stop predicting Overtime wins... cause he's technically wrong when teams are winning/not winning in regulation (his buzztron is supposed to be reflecting the overtime loser points)... but hey, it's a bit too complicated for Ek's excel sheet. a W is a W, a L is a L.

How on earth is Pittsburgh projected to catch New Jersey in points. They're presently down by 16...

There’s nothing as comically bad as Eklund having the devils finish 4-8-4, the lightning finishing 13-0-2, the rangers finishing 12-1-3 Carolina finishing 9-5-3 and penguins finishing 14-2-0

He will be an Oiler at the draft. Unless Vegas cripples themselves even more to get him 🙄. Oilers make the most sense in every way
