They said on Timos first goal he knocked a Tampa players stick out his hand, then the last penalty that lead to the Devils third goal was soft. But they dont complain how the first goal only happened because they called icing which should not have been called.

I don't agree with that, but it's pretty rare to see two separate penalties called on one sequence. That said, the 5 v 3 was squandered and then Stamkos killed us coming out of the box....

I watched Hischier get high sticked and crosschecked into the boards right in front of the ref so I think it was safe to say that everybody was getting jobbed last night.

Saw Schmid had a sub .900sv% - how did he play? Wonder if Fitz is now starting to second guess not bringing in a vet goaltender at the deadline. However, perhaps he was a bit gun-shy as the Devils last 2 vet netminders that came to the team didn't really work out so well.....

Schmid made one of the best saves of the year. The goals he stood no chance on. I feel more comfortable with him in net then Vitek right now

Thanks - the kid has played some solid hockey the past couple of months when called upon. May be a good time to ride the hot hand. Either way we will see him for 1 game this weekend. Just depends if he gets FLA or TB.

Play like poop for 60 minutes, lose the game. Great strategy.

Deserved loss. Got outplayed for the full 60 minutes and had no business even being in the game. Not even mad because of poorly they played. Sucks to lose our first game in regulation when leading after 2 periods though(28-1-2) but the division is over, these games are essentially meaningless from a standings perspective, so whatever. Better show up ready to play tomorrow.

Michigan wins the Big 10 Championship and will begin their NCAA tournament run next week. They're officially in win or go home mode now. Throughout their 4 game Big 10 tournament run Luke Hughes put up 6 assists and Seamus Casey put up 3 goals and 2 assists. Ethan Edwards had 2 assists but got a ton of praise for his defensive game throughout the games. Not sure if he'll end up being anything, but nice to see him playing well too. Hopefully they make a deep run to the Frozen Four, should be fun to watch.
