I haven’t liked Merrill’s game all year and he shoots the puck as hard as my 11 y/o nephew. it’s scary when Merrill and Klingberg are trying to defend but at least Klingberg brings some offense. I respect Goligoski but the tank is empty.

It’s like he’s too cool to make a move or be creative. I’d try Dewar with some of those moves he’s shown on shorties or even Duhaime. Zucc reminded me of Fiala when he 1st came up with how careless he was with the puck in OT.

Man was Eichel a turnover machine all night.

He brings so much energy and effort and doesn’t back down. Shaw plays with a reckless abandon and you almost wish he would back off just a little but that’s his game. Its easy to root for him and feel bad about all his bad breaks.

I've had 1 ACL reconstruction surgery in my lifetime, albeit, it was 32 years ago. But I never really 100% trusted my knee after that. Not that I was ever playing pro sports, but I still played in rec leagues in hockey and beer league softball. I really hope that Shaw is able to come back from this one as well. On the bright side of it, at least he knows exactly what he needs to do to get back on the ice, gonna be old hat for him.

As for the game, does it seem like the Wild are just throwing pucks at the net now, instead of working to get a good shot? I was surprised to see the Wild were outshooting Vegas last night for a majority of the game, and by a decent margin. But it also appeared that Vegas was getting more quality shots. I noticed that the Vegas players NEVER stood still, always moving, and with speed to boot. I am hoping that the Wild were, more or less, not moving to save up for the playoffs. But the play of Vegas against the Wild was a pretty good "slap in the face" reminder of where the Wild actually are with their roster.

Agreed Gus. I’ve noticed a little bit of lazy play over the last few games, guys not moving their feet kinda of play. And overall sloppy play. Easily noticed by simply watching how fast and efficient Vegas was able to move the puck and basically play keep away pinning the Wild in their own zone for much of both games.

But what really irritated me about losing last nights game is that they were leading with less than 2 minutes to go and blew it.
