This will be an interesting game tonight. I will be there and am hopping the excitement doesn't make the nerves worse for the players. Getting the first goal would mean game control but that has to come by playing a sound defensive coverage by all players. I really expect Conner to be flying tonight so here comes the fun. |

Nothing better than live hockey! Enjoy the game. Should be a really good series, both teams look good. |

Finally, playoff time! Oilers have a team that could go all the way. Let's start strong in game 1 and set the tone.
Let the quest for Lord Stanley begin! |

Let's all take a moment to really appreciate the fact that the Oilers had the best PP in league history.
Also, they are only the 6th team in league history to lead the NHL in PP goals and SH goals. Amazing! |

Literally everything is better than live hockey. I don't get the appeal of being crammed in a building with 18000 other bumholes to the point that its so cramped you can barely move. I guess some people enjoy being surround by loud, drunk idiots.

I get it some people have trouble staying focused and following the game. It’s ok to stay home and have someone keep you interested. |

Lose Game 2 at home and it's big trouble. Already in a must win game situation. |

not even close... the physicality will take its toll on the Kings if the Oil keep that hitting up. Now, if Stu gives up another 4 goals and they need to go to Soups, then it's curtains... |

My boy and I fell asleep in the third (after midnight for us) and I was quite surprised to see that the Oilers lost! They were very physical, moving the puck well, and the compete level was the best I've seen it all year. Draisaitl was an absolute beast in the first two periods, and they were all finishing their checks big time.
What the hell happened? They were rolling... |

Traditionally the numbers don't lie. Teams with home ice advantage that lose both games 1-2 on home ice have about a 14-20% chance of winning 4/5 games to move on to round two. Literally, game 2 is a must win for the Oilers after letting game 1 slip. Sure it was a bad call in OT but it never should have got to that point. |

Agreed but why worry (as fans) until after that happens?
The Oilers played a great game, but they got themselves into penalty trouble in the 3rd. It happens. I’m not the least bit worried. Had the Kings kicked their asses all game it would be a different story. |

I am very confident we still win this series. So confident I put down a $200 bet they come back and take it.

The Oilers didn't lose to the Kings. Watching that game in person it was disusting to see the infractions not called by the officials. The only calls they made in the game were the obvious ones like the high sticking penalty. Just prior to Bouchard getting called in the last two minutes Lizotte tripped two Oilers in their end to clear the puck out of the LA end that led to the Bouchard high stick call. The Oilers lost to one-sided officiating and will have to tone down their attack or the same will happen in the next game. In person that was men playing against boys for the first 40 minutes, then it turned into a 5 versus 4 game with all of the penalties call. There was a reason the fans turned ugly throwing garbage on the ice. Disgust for the people that should be officiating the game not determining its outcome. |

Are you really this stupid? Every penalty called was a clear penalty. Be better kid. |

woke up on the wrong side of the bed? even he stated that every call made was an obvious call, just that he felt they missed calls that could have gone for the oilers?
From the parts I watched, some of the penalties Oilers were taking were quite silly. Need to be more disciplined and I can see us taking the series.

The call in OT was weak but again, the game should have never have gotten to that point. That's on EDM. Bear in mind however Canadian teams have to battle Gary's refs AND beat the teams they are playing. Another reason why we haven't seen a cup in Canada since Bettman fully took over. He's the most corrupt clown commissioner in league history...but that's another story lol. |

Fun series to watch. I think the Oil take it.
